I keep hearing about drip tips. Can you use these to refill ur carts? If so how? Thanks in advance for all the wonderful replies I am sure I will get. I just love these forums!

Drip tips are place in an atomizer so that you can drip your E liquid straight through it and then vape, using the drip tip as a mouthpiece. Some people use them on cartomizers but it usually works better to remove the drip tip, refill the cartomizer and then replace the drip tip using it as a mouthpiece.

A drip tip is essentially a hollow tube that takes the place of the cart. The hole is quite large, usually funneled, so that by holding the PV straight up and down, one can drip juice through this mouthpiece directly onto the bridge of the atomizer.

They came about because so many people were fed up with the quick flavor and vapor loss of the old atty/cart combo, they just chucked the filler in the carts, put a few drops right on the bridge, and used the empty cart as a mouthpiece only. Repeat the drops every 7 drags or so, when the flavor drops off & vapor gets weak. The drip-tip helps by not needing to remove it every time you drip.

They're generally really ergonomic... I use them in place of the little rubber stopper on a standard soft tip cartomizer, as they just feel better between my lips, and every hour or so when I want to top off my carto, the drip tip is a no-fuss to remove and replace (compared to that little stopper).

You need to have a model drip tips are made for and a manual battery is strongly recommended because you can kill an auto battery if the liquid leaks down to the battery. Drip tip replaces the cart and you drip a couple of drops to start, give them a chance to soal in then start vaping. When the vapor gets light you add a drop.

I really love the Delrin drip tips from AvidVaper -- fit perfectly, don't crack, don't stick (easy to remove). Contoured nicely and don't get hot.

But one thing I especially love about the Delrin drip tip:

You can chew on it, gnaw on it, fiddle around with it with your teeth (nervous energy!), and it's absolutely impervious. It looks untouched. I say this as a person who chews pencils and who can wind up with chew marks on the old style carts, even sometimes popping off cartomizer tips because I won't let them alone.

If you have a 510 get-up (such as Ego or Riva, etc), then try a 306 low resistance atomizer with a drip tip from Avidvaper. He may even have a special on them. It's a pretty cheap little side trip you might get very hooked on, so excellent is the taste and volume when dripping. Prepare to retire carts!! :)

Heh... I haven't used an auto battery since about day 30 (wow... almost a year ago). Totally spaced out on that one, good call. Ixnay on the ippingdray with automatic batteries.

Michelle M has it right... I catch myself gnawing on mine sometimes, too... but to look at the things, you'd never know it.
