I mix my own juice so I know what's in there and build my own coils. I generally have to rewick every 7-10 days with a cleaning of the coil. I just rebuilt 2 RTAs this morning, both with coils that were over 3 months old.

As for long lasting factory coils with commercial juice most coils will be dragging their .... by 10 days. A ceramic like the EUC coils can be cleaned up and reused which will reduce the cost of replacement. They perform quite well too.

I am on a mission to find the Sub Ohm Tank that has good flavor with the longest lasting coil. I have tried a lot of tanks: Cleito, Freemax Pure, Crown 2, Melo 3, Subtank, but all seem to die around 30-50ml.

What is the longest lasting coil you have ever had? (how many ML of juice?)
Some people claim to get 3-4 weeks out of a coil but I usually replace it when I can no longer taste the juice. For some reason (at least in my experience) the sub ohm coils don't seem to last as long as the non sub ohm. You may be better off buying a Rebuildable deck and some premade coils Over the replaceable cartridges style.

I've had the best luck with the Smok Big Baby Beast tank, I'm using it now and its been about 2 months time, still good flavor and vapor, I'm making my own e liquid and stay with different tobacco flavors. If you buy a Smok Big Baby Beast tank you also get a RBA deck with dual stainless steel coils which you can burn off the gunk rewick and they are ready to go again.

The baby beast is a really good tank for the price. The bigger beasts hit way to hard for the 12mg juice I use lol

I believe that life long vapers will be mixing and rebuilding eventually. If you are one of those why put it off? It's isn't just the money. I prefer the taste and vapor quality of a fresh wick and coil. My every day all day rda gets a fresh wick every couple of days and a fresh coil every week or two. A 10-20 year supply of wire cost me $10. A $10 bag of cotton will last 2-4 years. To makeit work even better I mix my own liquid with 1% flavoring and no sweetners so there is hardly any gunking. So cost of supplies for rebuilding is literally $1-2 per year in place of 30-50 coil heads. Cost of ingredients for a year supply of eliquid for me is $25 and both are superior to anything pre built or pre mixed--to me.

PS Normally I would be mixing a month supply of liquid next weekend but I hope to be traveling so I mixed just now. Time, about 20 minutes. I could have gone faster but I savor the moment. Cost of PG, VG, flavoring and nic--$2.27. If I was still smoking, cigarettes would have cost $250 for the month. How much will a year of long lasting coil heads cost you, several hundred dollars probably.

It completely depends on two things:
  1. The liquid that you use, store stuff is usually loaded with sweeteners that can destroy a coil within a few thanks
  2. Your style of vaping
So to make a coil last

For the liquid: you need to either find brands that do not use sweeteners or start mixing your own (DIY).

For the style of vaping: use coils that don't need crazy wattage, keep wattage low, don't do long and deep pulls that causes the coil and wick to burn, and use temperature control.

With factory coils, know that they can be inconsistent, with one coil may last your weeks, others a few days.

An RTA done right, using all the factors that I've mentioned can last you over a month. Just had my niece finally kill her coil (RTA) after about a month and a half because of the way she vapes (and used my DIY). FOr me, it takes me about a week or so before I need to change my wick and clean my coil, but usually I'll use my coils for about 3 cleaning before I rebuild with new wire, as extended usage and cleaning does degrade the metal and it will start to taste different.

I rebuild the Melo/Triton coils for the tanks we have, and these coils can last a good 2-3 weeks.

Check my blog for more information about all this.

I just got a Freemax Starre Pure, their Cotton coil wrapped in Ceramic is supposed to last for 60-100 refills, that's 300-500ml.!!!!!

I dont think its possible for 1 piece of Cotton to last through 500ml of juice even if you vaped non-flavored juice. Since I mostly vape tobacco/dessert juices that are sweet, I would be happy if the coil lasts for 10-15 refills. I've had the tank for 2 days, but I doubt its going to last much longer than the Crown 2.

I have the Vaporesso Ceramic Coils, and their supposed to last over a month, and have better flavor versus cotton. But I'm not convinced yet, they dont seem to taste as good as my Crown Coils.

There has to be other a pre-built coils that lasts 2+ weeks or 50ml+

Whats your favorite Coil for 20-60w???

Well this can be a very touchy subject and you'll get very extreme answers to this.

IIRC @pfaber11 told me that one of his BBB coils has lasted him for about 3 months and is still going strong, that's the most I've seen a factory coil head being used.

Whats a BBB Coil?

I've heard the Smok TFV8 coils can last almost 2 weeks, but they are big coils with a lot of cotton, that guzzle juice. Smok only has 1 coil that can vape below 50w, and since I only vape 25-45w so it rules out a lot of sub ohm tanks. I would like a tank that has at least 2 different coils that can vape below 50w.

I just meant that there's this one coil that comes for the big baby beast... But i couldn't remember which one it was so that's why i said bbb coil.
I've tagged the person in the post so that they can shed some light over it.
And i agree with you that most of the coils for the tvf8 are only vape-able over 50w but a lot of people prefer that style of vaping.

BBB is the Smok Big Baby Beast a TFV8, here is a link:
SMOK TFV8 Big Baby Tank | 24.5mm Enlarged Baby Beast
You get the tank, 3 sets of coils, the RBA Deck with SS coils. The tank is known to have a leak problem caused by coil wire deforming a seal, bending the wire back in place so it seals again is the fix. I use it in temp mode and temp input and adjusting the airflow determine the vape.
Smok also makes the TFV12 which is called the Cloud Beast King and since I like the BBB so much I wanted to try it, For me it is over kill I can't handle it and all the vapor so I generally stay with the BBB RBA but it's nice to see what can be done.
