Are there any brands you avoid?

I think so far fruit flavours are my preferred option, I've been trying different brands and styles and getting some mixed results.
70:30 and 50:50 vg/pg are the types I usually smoke, and low nicotine level

I've recently started vaping to quit smoking, i'm 3 weeks without a cigarette going well, I put in an order on some e-liquids and I'm having a poor experience with some flavours/brands
The best ones I've tried are some nic salts particularly two brands "Wake n Vape" - strawberry, lemon lime flavours and "ELFLIQ" sour apple .
I've also tried some shortfills the "Slushum" Tropical flavour is really good.

The other shortfills LIQUA mentol and DIFFER - Super Suppai Series strawberry and raspberry have been particularly disappointing, could it be the nicotine shot i put in them thats giving the off flavour ?
One other Nic Shot 'Kinship" cola flavour was a major let down - but I only tried it on a new coil so I'll give that one a second chance before I give up on it .

Trying a LIQua nic shot - cookies flavor that's definately tastes like cookies but not a fan of the flavour but it doesn't taste bad just not my thing
I have another LiQua watermelon to try.

I diy and I diy cheap and sloppy because it’s quick and easy and hard to screw up. I do single favors only (because no ratios so measuring doesn’t have to be exact for flavor) Ido heavy VG (because I can get it cheap) so the favors are meh but it less than $5 for a 100ml bottle (oh I reuse bottles too). I buy candy making flavors (because they’re. Vastly cheaper) which means I cant buy just anything. Nothing that might want butter (diacetyl) or cinnamon (cinnamon oil) so basically fruits mostly. It also means the whole “ice” trend has mostly passed me by. If I was doing unflavored it would be even cheaper.

The only brand I specifically avoid is SMOK and only for hardware, and only because of their past reputation(that I understand has improved to meh) for incredibly lousy build quality.

Getting into DIY sounds like it would have even more choices for me to figure out, is it hard to source flavours and VG, PG ? I think a rebuildable tank might be my next learning area before I get to making my own juice

DIY e-liquid & rebuildable tanks can save you a lot of money long-term. Plus you can have some fun w/ them. They're insurance for the future, as well. It takes some practice along w/ some trial-&-error. Worth it, imo.

Flavors, PG, & VG are easy to get. Nicotine is what's getting more & more difficult to find as well as expensive. If you're serious about getting into DIY, nic is the thing to get asap.

When you are new, its easy to get overwhelmed with all the different flavors. DIY is only as hard as you want to make it.
I'd love if there was a website with reviews for each brand and the flavours, I spent about 40€ on an order of different juices to try out a few brands and two brands have been pretty poor and have this strange chemical taste, and some the level of flavour or the advertised one doesn't come through.

Because everybody has different tastes, a review only tells what that person thought it tastes like. Part of the fun for me when i first started was trying different things til i found what i like. Vape shops used to let you try a sample first to see if you like it or not. One of the shops in my town still does this. I settled out on dessert flavors, cookie, cake, cereal and milk flavors and the like. One of my all time favorites was a DIY coco puffs I created.

I guess, I'm not really looking for peoples tastes, more just a review on quality, I prefer fruit flavours so far, strawberry, tropical, sour apple, lemon lime.
Be good to have see peoples reviews on which brands make the best of each flavour type or be able to figure out which brands are commonly disliked for using poor ingredients etc.

Got any brands you avoid or any favourites ?
I've got a bottle of cookie and rasberry icecream I hate, dont think they taste bad just too rich/sweet for me

Sourcing and vg is dirt simple. VG is also used as a cattle laxative in gallon jugs so places like fleet farm carry it, it’s also used for hand lotion. both VG and pg are used heavily by the food service industry so basically any restaurant supply store will have it. And of course everything at all is available online. From bullhorns to bull semen.

A brand called MRKT PLCE makes a grapefruit citrus sugarberry(pineapple, ive discovered) that I vaped pretty steady for months. It was very nice and I even liked the iced version. The iced factor isnt everybodys favorite thing but I think it adds a little something to certain fruit flavors. That brand has several fruit combos but I havent tried any others. Might want to look into that. They have a website.

Yea, I'm a fan of the fruit flavours that have that cold eucalyptus effect like cough lozenges.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! That’s a big
    deal!!

I buy some commercial ejuice and also make some of my own.

The commercial ejuice I order from is from West Coast Vapes. I tend to stick with the “dinner or desert” flavors from Coastal Clouds. I also like the juice by Vapetasia which has a large selection of fruit flavors as well as the sweeter desert flavors that I like. Another Go To is the brand Naked 100. Lots of selection with their lineup.

As ejuice is getting more difficult to buy you might want to consider DIYing your own ejuice. It’s really easy to do once you get all the basics down. It’ll also save you a TON of money. Making juice is incredibly cheap to make.

    Good luck!!!
