Hello folks and welcome back for my review of the Drag M100 S Kit from Voopoo. There have been many versions of the Drag series of devices in the past with the M100 S being the latest as of today's date. The Drag M100 S is a single battery device that can be used with a 21700, 20700 or a 18650 battery with the supplied adapter, it has a maximum power output of 100 watts and has 4 power modes to choose from ( Smart, RBA, ECO, and TC featuring NI200,TI, SS316, and SS430 ).

I was sent one of the 2 wood series colors and as you will see it's appearance is very striking, there's also a matt finish series with 4 colors to choose from. Having four options in TC should make users that use TC happy. This is a feature packed device with a great feature I haven't mentioned yet that I'll cover in my review, the UFORCE-L tank which I've reviewed in the past is the featured tank in this kit. There's a lot to cover so lets get started with getting to know this mod and tank combo with some info from VOOPOO.

    FIRST IMPRESSION

I have to give VOOPOO a thumbs up on the presentation packaging of the Drag M100 S Kit, it comes in a box with a clear plastic viewing window that shows the device and seeing it brought a smile on my face, on the back of the box the contents are listed. To open the box a perforated strip of paper needs to be pulled off, I like this added layer of security knowing it has remained sealed from the factory.

Once the strip is removed the contents inside can be slid out of the box. The Antique Brass & Padauk version that was sent to me is stunning in my opinion. VOOPOO used real wood on the mod with a brushed metal look that is always a favorite of mine. The UFORCE-L Tank is the Gunmetal color. Next to the UFORCE-L Tank is a rectangular box containing all the components and paper info as well The 18650 battery adapter ships inside the device so if using a 21700 or 20700 remove it , VOOPOO dose not say a 20700 battery can be used in the device but I tried using one and it worked just fine, I had no rattle using it or any other batteries in testing the Drag M100 S, everything is solid.

Before getting started with testing I wanted to give the UFORCE-L Tank a good cleaning in case any residual oil was left on in the machining process, the tank looked and felt clean but it's a practice I always do with a brand new tank and you should as well. The tank breaks down into 6 pieces including the 810 drip tip that has two O-rings on it, when cleaning pay attention to the O-rings so one doesn't go down the drain.

    20230520_180822.jpg

I started testing with the PNP TW15 0.15Ω mesh coil, this coil is rated for between 55 - 70 watts, I always start 2-5 watts below the minimum wattage suggested just to break the coil in. After about 25 vapes I began increasing wattage to find my sweet spot but having reviewed the UFORCE-L Tank a few times already I knew it was at the upper spectrum at 67 watts. This coil really produces great flavor as does the other supplied PNP mesh coil ( TW20 0.2Ω rated for 40 - 55 watts ), I like the added warmth of the 0.15Ω coil better though.

The UFORCE-L Tank uses 3 airflow slots that channel airflow down through the barrel chimney, there is a downward slope of the top 3 airflow slots that was a real pain to get a picture of but I think you are able to see the slope in this picture. Airflow is smooth and this downward slope helps to make it that way. If you like big air the UFORCE -L has it but can be dialed down for a good RDL vape, my liking is it 3/4 closed off.

The UFORCE-L Tank is top fill and opens with a quarter turn of the top cap, opening the top you are greeted with what looks like a smile to me, I don't know if it was intentional to look like a smile or not but it looks like it to me. The eyes of the smile are the membrane covered fill ports. This about covers the tank section of the review, it's a winner.

Getting down to the mod I'll start with the top letting you know that 28mm is the max atomizer size that can be attached without any overhang happening, the top plate has a chrome finish that looks good against the brushed brown metal that continues up from the mod. Printed on the top cap is DRAG Spark Your Life with what appears as a ribbon drawing separating the two statements. The 510 pin is spring loaded with a fairly stiff and long travel to it.

    20230521_085837.jpg

Down on the bottom is the battery door that opens by pushing back on the spring loaded center portion that has a arrow pointing to it, the door has a stiff spring staying open, closing the door you could push back on the spring center as you do to open it or just push it down. In the time of testing it has never opened unintentionally, this device is rock solid having zero rattles from the batteries or buttons.

Battery polarity markings are normally inside the battery tube and on the battery door but the Drag M100 S only uses marking on the battery door with a minus symbol, no symbol or markings inside the tube is fine as long as the marking on the door stands out and it does.

As I said earlier I find the appearance of the Drag M100 S to be stunning, my pictures don't come close to it's stunning looks. On the sides of the device are 2 curved pieces of real wood that just nestle in your hand perfectly and compliment the Golden Brown brushed metal that encompasses the mod ( top, bottom, front and spine ). Everything is smooth to the touch and very comfortable holding in the hand.

I said this device was feature packed and one feature I really like is the dynamic switch which gives you the option to use it to turn the device on/off, lock the entire device making it safe to pocket carry or lock the 2 adjustment buttons, it's your choice how you want it to function. For me I like to be able to lock the entire device with just a flick of the switch, the switch has just the right amount of resistance to it knowing it will stay locked when engaged.

The menu system on this device is very simple and easy to navigate by pressing and holding the 2 adjustment buttons simultaneously to open the menu, once there use the adjustment buttons to toggle through it, when you land on the feature you want to adjust press the fire button to activate. There are 4 power modes to choose from and 5 UI color choices to choose from customizing it to your liking. Here's a photo of the 4 power modes you have to choose from plus in TC you have 4 metal choices.

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

I think you already know how I feel about this kit, looks are a 10 to me ( My Opinion ), functionality it has had 0 issues in it's performance. My biggest like was the dynamic switch being used again in this mod because it makes it so easy to pocket carry by just flipping the switch but having 2 other options on the switch is such a great feature, the locking switch alone would have been great.

I'm no stranger to the UFORCE-L Tank having reviewed it in previous kits from Voopoo and I feel it's a very good Sub Tank with the newer PNP coils that are a improvement from the great original PNP coils, these newer ones bump flavor up a little more in my opinion.

Getting back to the mod not only do you have a customizable dynamic switch but being able to personalize the UI with 5 different choices of color is another big plus. I really tried to find a con with this kit but came up empty except for the annoying feature of having to wake the device up with a single press of the fire button before taking a vape.

Voopoo has had in their devices for so long and I review so many of their devices that I do it unintentionally with all devices that sit for 20 minutes or so. All in all this kit is a WINNER and I recommend it 100%. I would like to thank Nical and VOOPOO for providing this kit for my review and I hope All your questions were answered.

    THANK YOU
