    Hello once again and welcome back for another vape review on a new addition to the Drag family from Voopoo called as the title says Drag H40. The H40 uses a internal 1500mAh battery as it's power source and has a maximum power output of 40 watts and is in a tube style of devices. I will call it a AIO that uses a pod with a large 5ml capacity and uses the PNP coil lineup. There is a display screen with adjustment buttons and has adjustable airflow all in a nice compact size. After some information on the Drag H40 is shown so you can get to know it a little bit better I'll give you my findings on it after a 3 week evaluation, is it great, good or just average, Read on to find out.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    As far as packaging goes it's nice with nothing fancy being done, a slide out tray with the Drag H40 inside and on top of it sits a Black rectangular box containing your PnP TW30 0.3Ω mesh coil, charging cable ( type-c ), user manual and PnP coil platform card, the VM3 0.45 mesh coil is preinstalled inside the pod when shipped.

    I was sent the Gunmetal color and it looks very nice and the size surprised me in a good way. This is a tube styled device but a very compact one that actually functions great because it uses a raised platform housing the fire and adjustment buttons making it very easy to locate by feel alone. Voopoo also sent me a separate PNP pod that contains 2 different drip tips with the 2nd one being a MTL drip tip.

    Starting off at the very top I am glad that I have the option to switch out 510 drip tips if I wanted to, during testing I kept the original stock drip tip in play because it performed fine and was comfortable to use so I saw no need to switch it out for one of my own. A nice thing Voopoo did which serves no function but is rather for cosmetics is to put a swirling design on top of the pod.

    Voopoo uses a side fill method on the PNP POD II that has a large opening for any sized juice bottle tip. Before you can put the Drag H40 in play a protective sticker covering the preinstalled coil must be removed. Here's a shot of both coils that are supplied.

    The pod connects to the device as most do by using 3 strong magnets that attach to a metal rim inside the Drag H40 device, below the metal rim are 2 contact pins that make connection with the coil. Condensation does build up on the metal rim after time so be mindful to simply wipe it off when spotted, this is normal for devices like this.

    There is fully adjustable airflow on the Drag H40 by means of turning the pod which aligns with 2 airflow slots on the device, there are no hard stops and the airflow can be turned to the left or right with no worry of it coming off the setting you chose to make ( great resistance ).

    Charging the device is done on the bottom which is alright because you can simply pull the pod off and set it aside in it's upright position while the unit is being charge then reattach when it's fully charged. The display screen is large enough and font size works without straining to see everything. There is a percentage % indicator as well as a battery bar on the Drag H40.

    The Drag H40 has leather surrounding it with no cushion feel to it, on one side VOOPOO GENE AI is embossed while the other side has DRAG H40 also deeply embossed.

    I like the display screen for the reasons mentioned earlier, Voopoo did a nice job making numbers, letters and symbols readable without squinting to view them. The display is as follows from top to bottom.

    * Battery Bar

    * Wattage

    * Power Mode ( Smart Or RBA )

    * Ohm Reading

    * Puff Counter

    20230704_112343.jpg

    This has a menu that is so simple and easy to navigate using a few button combinations.

    * Press and hold the power and up button simultaneously to lock/unlock the entire device

    * Press the fire button 3 times to change power modes

    * Press and hold the fire and down buttons simultaneously to clear the puff counter

    * Press the fire button 5 times quickly to turn the device on/off

    PROS

    * Great Flavor

    * Compact Size

    * Compatible With All PnP Coils

    * Attractive

    * 5Ml Pod Capacity

    * Lightly Tinted Pod

    * Strong Magnets

    * Easy To Read Display Screen

    * Bright Display

    * Adjustable Airflow

    * 2 Power Modes

    CONS

    * Still Using Rubber Fill Plug

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    I haven't mentioned it until now but the inherent having to wake the device up after sitting idle for 20 minutes that Voopoo uses is not on my sample version and I love that it's not on it, I don't know if the final retail version will be as mine is but I hope it's a change on all future devices.

    As far as performance goes I'm still using it and the flavor is still there after almost 3 weeks of use' not constant but at least 30 vapes daily.

    The coils are really good at flavor production and both juices come through loud and clear with a nice saturated vape each time. I have had 0 leaking issues but condensation on the metal rim which is normal does happen, just wipe it off when you see it.

    I really like that a raised platform housing the fire and adjustment buttons on on it because tube styled devices can be difficult to find the fire button by feel sometimes but with the buttons on a platform there easy to find by feel.

    I still haven't used the device at it's full 40 watts because it hasn't needed the full 40 watts for my taste. 35 watts is my sweet spot for the 0.3Ω coil with 30 watts for the 0.45Ω coil. I think the Drag H40 is a really good device and recommend it 100%. I would like to thank Nical and Voopoo for sending the device for review and I would like to thank all of you reading this review as well.

    THANK YOU
