► VOOPOO DRAG 5 Mod; Top design and finishes:
As I mentioned, I got the "Sunset Orange" color version for this test. The zinc alloy frame has different and captivating shades of orange color from shiny to darker, the contrast with the even darker orange leather part gives a pleasant play of light and shadow. The chessboard-shaped decoration with squares of different sizes is truly particular and intriguing. On one side the leather part shows the brand name (VOOPOO) and near the mirror-polished steel edge the word "Push" appears with an arrow to indicate the opening side of the system which allows access to the batteries. The opposite side features the writing "Gene TT" on the leather insert, while the writing "DRAG" appears on the metal part of the frame which is also embellished with intertwining bright lines that fade and become darker towards the bottom of the Mod. It's quite difficult to describe such a beautiful look, especially when the air conditioning is out and you're gasping for air in the office.

On the back part (handle) the decoration is really sober and only shows the natural texture of the leather, the cushion is neither too rigid nor too soft, the weight of the Mod is quite high, but the grip is ergonomic and qualitative.
On the front of Drag 5 we find the display that allows you to select the following background colors; classic, green, red, purple and yellow. On the bottom there is the USB type-C port equipped with 5V/3A fast charging protocol. VooPoo declares that with Drag 5 and with 100% charged cells it is possible to obtain more than 650 Puffs for a whole day of vaping, it is reasonable to ask what power is selected? The Drag 5's display is clear and bright, plus the power output numbers are really great.

► VOOPOO DRAG 5 Mod; Battery Life Control and 3 in 1 Flip Switch:
As on Drag 4, the Drag 5 maintains the same control key setting with the novelty of the battery A and battery B evaluation system which, if one of the two has "problems", the GENE TT2.0 chipset possibly puts into operation the safety protections, and clearly indicates on the display which accumulator is flat or has problems. The multifunction button allows you to lock/unlock the power, furthermore the SWITCH mode gives you the possibility to decide how to operate the third button. By default the third button locks/unlocks power, but can be toggled to quickly turn the device on or off or to lock/unlock the device.

► VOOPOO DRAG 5 Mod; Vaping Flames & Operational Guide:
Another difference compared to Drag 4 is that the chipset implements a choreographic animation of a Flame that increases in intensity and then goes out when the Fire button is released. This picturesque setting can be deactivated by entering the "Theme" menu. The display layout shows the following information; power setting, selected vaping mode, two battery charge indicators with percentages, voltage output, coil resistance, puff counter, duration of the last puff. Naturally, using the key combination you can enter the Mod parameters as follows;
• Press the Fire button 5 times to turn on the device
• Press the + and - buttons at the same time to access the menu. Use the + and - buttons to select the various options and press the Fire button to confirm
• The available menu modes are; Smart, RBA, ECO and TC.
• Smart mode allows the chipset to identify the resistive value of the coil and set the right power value, it also prevents you from selecting too high powers.
• RBA mode disables any restrictions, especially suitable for those using alternative tanks and various builds. The adjustment can be made between 5 and 177W
• ECO Mode: This energy saving mode is 90% of RBA mode.
• The following four heating wire materials are implemented in TC mode; Ni200, Tl, SS316 and SS43. So you can adjust the temperature within the recommended range for each material.

► VOOPOO DRAG 5 Mod; Upside down:
The lower part of Drag 5 has a wide support base which gives it good stability. The top part of the mod houses a non-centered 510 steel plate, it can accommodate tanks up to 29mm in diameter and without external protrusions. Furthermore, the 510 threaded base is compatible with all vaporizers with a 510 connection. The plate is held to the Mod by three French screws and is slightly raised to prevent the paint from being scratched during the installation of the tank. The pin is spring loaded, gold plated and the thread thread is smooth and smooth.

► UFORCE-X Tank:
The Drag 5 kit includes the latest tank called UFORCE-X with a capacity of up to 5.5ml with the supplied domed glass. The refill system involves sliding the top cap and this happens effortlessly. To add e-liquid, the Tank has a slot equipped with an anti-leak membrane as the liquid can only enter through the tip of most commercially available e-liquid bottles. The air flow is regulated via two large, fully adjustable vents which are positioned in the upper part (Top AFC) and this system also guarantees watertightness.

In the image below you can see the UFORCE-X Tank completely disassembled. I agree with VooPoo's idea of equipping UFORCE-X with a domed glass which increases its capacity. The drip tip is 810 type with two sealing o-rings.

Below you can see the airflow adjustment ring (it does not have rotation stops), however it is well braked and maintains the adjustment well. The PnP-X coils are inserted from the bottom once the base has been unscrewed. Looking at the inside of the tank you can see two slots that convey the air from top to bottom and directly towards the coil.

► PnP X Coils Platform and vape test:
The PnP X coils line is made up of various resistors for a power between 20 and 100 W+. At the moment this line is fully compatible with UFORCE-X Tank. VooPoo has specifically created the PnP X coils with fourth generation atomization technology to remain at the top of performance in terms of flavor, but also in search of maximum durability. The specific thermostable cotton is carefully distributed in the spacing and thickness of the fibers over the mesh of the PnP According to VooPoo, the result obtained is sensational and up to 4 times higher than other coils, these new resistors would be able to support the use of 100ml of e-liquid or accompany you with a pack of 5 coils for an entire season ( 90 days), greatly reducing replacement frequency and costs. Furthermore, the VOOPOO PnP X coils included in the kit can be used with various e-liquids in the VG ratio of 50/60/70. In the Drag 5 Kit package we will therefore find two PnP-X coils of 0.15 and 0.30Ω included.
• 0.30Ω PnP X Coil:
With the Smart function activated, the GENE TT2.0 chip automatically selects the optimal power of 35W for this coil, of course you can lower the power or raise it up to a suggested limit of 40W. The extraordinary reactivity of the mesh allows for satisfactory use even with very low selected powers, however the recommended 35W really seems to be perfect with the AFC adjusted to 50% opening degree. This coil proves to be very generous in terms of vapor emission and aromatic yield. Vaporization is always fluid and free of spitting even by restricting the air flow, furthermore even when using maximum power the heat generated is really low and you won't get any discomfort on your lips.
• 0.15Ω PnP X Coil:
With the Smart function activated, the GENE TT2.0 chip automatically selects the optimal power of 65W for this coil, of course you can lower the power or raise it up to the maximum limit indicated on the resistance. The extraordinary reactivity of the mesh allows for satisfactory use even with significantly lower selected powers, the recommended 65W seems to be truly perfect for the best balance between performance and durability. The dual 18650 battery handles this power very well throughout the day. DTL hit lovers can fully open the UFORCE-X Tank's airflow for truly deep, airy draws accompanied by big, flavorful clouds of vapor, but even by closing the flow slightly vapers will still get a smooth, clean hit without spitting. The flavor is really robust and concentrated compared to other types of coils I normally use. The heat generated by UFORCE-X Tank is never excessive even if the power is exaggerated.

► VOOPOO DRAG 5 KIT; Final conclusions:
Drag 5 Mod with its not exactly compact dimensions and its zinc alloy frame is certainly not a feather, however it is not that uncomfortable and true "cloud chasers" will not have too many problems. The attractive appearance of my Drag 5 is amplified by the fully removable magnetic battery cover, with the C-shaped design that is exquisitely decorated. The lid joins in a stable "all in one" with the frame. The 3 in 1 Flip switch can block the power according to your preferences, this allows you to vape without running the risk of accidental activation, furthermore you can completely block the Mod, or you can turn the Mod on or off with a single button so ultra-fast. This QS button which was introduced with DRAG 4 and was maintained on DRAG 5 is really very comfortable, probably because everyone really liked it. Also worth mentioning is the battery evaluation system which makes use safer by notifying the user whether the battery is suitable or not for prolonged use. DRAG 5 has a maximum power of 177W with a bright and clear user interface, managed by the updated chip, which intelligently processes the best power and offers 4 modes: Smart, RBA, TC and ECO. The two external 18650 batteries offer long life. GENE TT2.0 manages a balanced and stable discharge curve, so even with very low battery charge levels I did not notice any drops in power. UFORCE-X Tank with flow regulation from above goes very well with the new PnP Drag 5 also allows 5V-3A fast charging which I purposely did not test because I always recharge my external batteries with a separate charger. To conclude I can only advise you to purchase this Kit because in its price range it is absolutely a winner. The DRAG 5 kit is currently a pre-sale product, expected to be available after July 31st.
