yeah, i don't think you guys understood my question. just look at the picture and tell me what's going on there on the atomizer table that says 5v. i understand that regulated mods have the ability to boost voltage but what i'm trying to find out if it's better to vape under 4.2v to keep the battery healthy or get better vape times.

The lower voltage /wattage you vape a regulated mod at the longer a battery charge will last you.

ok, got it. but is using them a higher voltages like 6 volts bad for the cells? like instead of the battery being able to do 300 charge cycles before replacing them. will you replace them earlier because of using them at higher voltages?

Well, the table is showing you that if you vape at 50w using a .5ohm coil, you will be drawing 5v which is not a problem on a regulated mod. If that is where you get the vape you like then it's all good. However it will drain the battery faster than if you vaped at lower wattage/voltage.

If it is a good 20 amp CDR or above battery there should be a very small impact of lifespan of the battery using them at higher amperages. The mod in producing a higher output voltage than the battery voltage will draw more amps from the battery. As I said as long as it is a good 20 amp CDR battery or above should be no problem.

since its a regulated mod.... its not going to overdrive the battery anyway....
ever notice how the mod will quit working when your battery gets low but still has more than 3.2V?
This is true in single cell regulated mods but not as much in multi cell series regulated mods if using a battery with too small of a CDR rating.
The additional voltage of the series cells can allow you to overdraw the batteries in certain situations.

+1. You'll get longer battery life the less power per puff you use, but it won't make any difference to the lifecycle of the cell so long as you aren't stressing it. It's 2 different circuits. The power circuit always operates at native battery voltage. The vape circuit is downstream of the board, and the battery can't "see" it.

Most mods will tell you to swap out the battery at around 3.2 volts.
Swapping out earlier may put less stress on the battery, and therefore prolong it's life. However to what degree is largely anecdotal and depends on other factors like how hard you push the cell. The other side of the coin is that swapping out the battery early means less vape time.

the battery powers the mod circuitry
the mod circuitry output the high voltage.

the battery does not know or care what that voltage is.
