Some people like to use vodka or PGA (pure grain alcohol) as an alternative to distilled water to dilute thicker juices for better wicking. I'm PG-sensitive, so I only vape 100% VG liquids, which are much thicker than PG-based liquids and tend to clog up your atty or carto real fast. A couple drops of everclear really helps thin the juices for me.

Either ethanol or distilled water will dilute your juice at a small cost to flavor, but water has the added drawback of lessening your throat hit. Vodka or PGA, on the other hand, adds noticeably more throat hit while it thins your mix. Depending on your juice and preference, you may want to tone down or kick up the throat hit on certain flavors - it's all personal and takes a bit of tinkering, so make separate test samples. The main use, though, is to dilute the juice for proper wicking.

If using PGA, be very careful to start small. A couple drops go a long way in dilution and even further in throat hit. Too many drops and you'll have an unbearable e-liquid on your hands.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the input. I truly thought vodka added to the TH. So the lesser the nicotine content the less the TH. No other ingredient can substitute for the TH? I want to cut down on my nic consumption but when I try low nic juices I could never get satisfied.

Several people I know have used this for greater TH. http://www.ecigexpress.com/flavoring-flavourart-condensed-c-16_29/flash-e-liquid-select-size-p-610

It is not alcohol based.
