vivi nova: coil fit ?

. my question is about ‘coil’ interchangeability -Vivi Nova

what fits what ? Vision is the main producer(developer?), but so many clones
and I just don’t want several type/sizes of coils around
these will be easy to ‘re-wick/coil’ but I need a stock of them initially

no desire for the ‘dual coil ’ anythng

so from all the peeps out there, any inside info on,
what coils cross fit inside the vivi nova tanks… ?

The DV coil heads will not fit the Visions Vivi's.To my knowledge you can only use the Visions in Visions.They will screw in but they may be too tall or short not allowing for a proper seal at the top.I have Visions and knockoffs, the the tops of the caps on the inside are different in mine.

that's exactly what I'm thinking--all dimensions are the same, just the 'top' or 'cap'
has a different design, some with metal pointed tip sticking out, others flush, to mate with drip tip

so the reason for my inquiry is so I won't have to buy all the different configurations/brands
to find out if any others fit in the Vision brand

I've read where the newer Vision v2.5 coil actually has 510 threads now... ?

I want genuine Vision, it's just the cost of coils seem steep...


do you think you could take the cap off of one and put on another
and make one function... ?

well I found a great deal on genuine Vision vivi novas (3.5ml & 2.5ml)
and very cheap genuine coils (1.8-2.4-2.8Ω), so I loaded up...

4 vivi nova tank kits (x3 coils) - then 12 coils
"the latest revision of the Vision Vivi Nova Tank (V2.5) with updated airhole, coil heads and tubes"

went to another site and bought 4 corresponding aluminium tanks

hopefully this will cure 'tank failure' due to mystery cracks (wife)
of course since I got this for wife, I also had to follow suit (got ditto for my vaping pleasure)
now I just have to learn to like top coil vaping a little better than in the past...

the Aspire vivi nova w/ bdc seems like a cool design, BUT
it is dual coil that I don't care for-- so I have been thinking about
how to rebuild the coil (of the bdc design) but as a single coil unit... ?

the bdc coil is kinda like a 'punched carto' tank by design (pretty cool)

(I've noticed how the i30S has also adopted same design; punched carto)

Not doing too good this morning this the second mistake I made today. the ones shown in the link do have a flat top.

vivi novas and have a flat top but I have the older version..

I should have the glass vision minis arriving by Monday and will see if those look like these.

where I bought my Vision vivi nova's,
they were $3.95 / $5.95 (2.0/3.5 ml) plastic
and the coils were $.95 each -

I am gonna wait till I recieve them (Mon 12/9)
before I gush about the great deal...

I just recieved my vision glass V-Fate 2ml novas.
I tried the my old ones with the new heads and i am sitting vaping while writing this. The heads are the same. In fact The only difference I can see between the older plastic Vision mini vivi novas and the new glass V-Fate 2ml novas is the glass and metal cover.

On the other they do not look like the heads in the fastech link above. The last time I looked at fastech they had what they called genuine vivi novas and heads. The fastech ones I see above don't say that.

what I see Vision is calling the 'new' coils, the ones with what looks
like a 'flat' washer pushed inside the top of that silicone cover...

but the the coils offered for the v-fate (dual) have the tappered cone tip ?

I have only seen the 3.5 v-fate (you got a 2.0?)

and they are claiming are improved style...?

with slanted viewing windows

I am confused too I was expecting the new heads not to work on my old ones.

What I know is that my old plastic vivi novas from June work with the heads I got yesterday and the new glass V-Fate novas work with my old heads. I have heads and mini novas from 3 different suppliers so I am sure they are Vision.

The heads are expensive but you can burn them and I am still using heads I bought in June. They are also one of the easiest coils to rebuild. I haven't rebuilt any but it's good to know I can.

what I would like to compare is "old vs new"

how the top cap seats against the coil ???

since it looks like that is the 'big' change

is there a difference in how the inside air tube (end of drip tip)

mates to the coil top ?

in my case the only difference I can see is that the plastic tube that sits on top of the head is a tiny bit wider in the new glass V-Fate. Making it a drop more difficult to fill with a drip bottle.

Alas I have found protank type bottom coil tanks...and the cotton flavor wick..and my vivi nova mini's and clones and other top coil tanks are in the "vaping" tackle box...fooey

your saying the silicone cap on the coil is
larger in diameter, on the new version...

makes sense 'cause they say trying to stop any leakage from older style...
