I know if you take care of your batteries the chances of this happening are so slim, but what should you do if your battery starts to vent on a busy high street/shopping centre? You cant keep hold of a piping hot battery, so where does it go while it vents?

Yeah but if it gets too hot I don't want to just give my mod away as well. I reckon the chances of me getting it back are slim.

If you don't put yourself in that situation (having to deal with a battery in thermal runaway) you won't have anything to worry about.

Only buy quality batteries from reputable sources and use them with just a slight bit of common sense & you'll have no problems.

If you ignore the above,
a non flammable surface away from people.
Chances are if one starts venting in a power device you won't have time to remove it before it becomes too hot to touch.

Seriously, don't carry my Mech's into enclosed public places. I have an Ego/Carto and/or Regulated mods for that, with much lower risk.

Push come shove, under counter/planter or back into pocket. I'll take the hit to avoid injuring someone else.

I'm not sure how you wear your pants but I'm not shoving a pipe bomb into my pocket.
