The vaporesso XIRON Pod Starter Kit features a solid zinc alloy "X" armor. The design is compact, in the hand the feeling it offers is that of reliability and durability.

It adopts 1500mAh built-in battery, with 5 to 50W adjustable power, its usage ranges from MTL to Flavor. The device integrates a chipset with ultra-fast activation characteristics and a high level of circuit protection.

The control panel consists of an intuitive Fire button, a 0.69 "OLED screen, two control buttons and the USB Type-C port.

AFC air control is entrusted to a fully adjustable external ring, the cartridge holds up to 5.5ml of liquid and uses the excellent GTX coils.

First impressions:

The first time I saw the Xiron, I was favorably attracted by its appearance, The Xiron is small but the weight is substantial, handling it I immediately thought of a solid and robust device.

The zinc alloy armor has a pleasant "X" design with a black shade downwards, the structure embraces and protects the whole mod, one side bears the Vaporesso writing, the opposite one contains the brand logo.

Under this armor there is the plastic material that makes up the box, all the edges are rounded and joined together, the texture recalls the scales of a reptile in the design, this texture more than offering an effective grip certainly offers a pleasant feedback visual and tactile.

On the front we find a 0.69-inch OLED display and an elegant and clickable Fire button positioned above the screen.
The plus and minus adjustment buttons are located below the screen along with the USB-C charging port located on the edge of the "X" armor.

On the opposite side, at the top, there is the effective AFC adjustment with a 'wheel' design that has been so popular lately.
The ring is knurled on the outer edge to make it easier to rotate with your nails.

The Compartment / Pod has a large 'V' design that allows you to control the liquid level well and facilitates routine cleaning.
On the bottom of the compartment, in addition to the two gold / plated pins, we find three triangularly arranged magnets.

The bottom of the Xiron has five vent holes for the integrated battery.

Pod:
The Xiron cartridge has a high capacity (5.5ml) and good lateral transparency with a 'V' design.
On the top there is a handy silicone cap for the refill, the Drip Tip is a replaceable 510 type (I'm not a fan of the crushed Tips), luckily Vaporesso has put one more conventional shape in the package.

The cartridge uses the convenient push & pull method for inserting proprietary GTX coils. The three magnets on the bottom are mirrored to those placed inside the compartment, their strong magnetism allows you to effectively hold the pod once inserted into the compartment of the Xiron.

Coil:
The Xiron is compatible with the GTX coil series that I know very well, in general this type of coil provides a good aroma and depending on the resistance used also a fair amount of steam, for this new device the 0.3 and 0.8 Mesh-coils are included in the kit.

By default the Smart VW sets the GTX Mesh Coil 0.8Ω (12-20 W) to 16W. There have been small condensation formations, nothing alarming or unmanageable, however I tend to prefer the 0.6 GTX which in my opinion has a better overall performance and a smoother operation.

By default the Smart VW sets the 0.3Ω GTX Mesh coil to 40W (32-45W), this coil has an optimal behavior with the Xiron, the resulting puff is very fluid, rich in flavor and never too hot, the amount of steam is decent between 40 and 45W. Even at 32W (minimum) you can vape well ... Especially by closing the AFC at 50% to have the correct balance between Watts delivered and air drawn in.

Vaporesso Xiron 50W how it works:

The 0.69 "monochrome screen shows all the information useful for vaping, so we find: resistance value, total number of puffs, duration of the last puff, set power, battery icon, current mode and lock / unlock symbol.

I find that the reading of the fonts (not too large) is sufficient even for my tired eyes.

The power adjustment (with the mod unlocked) has a range between 5 and 50W with an increase / decrease of 0.5W at a time.

The mod turns on and off with five clicks, pressing the Fire button three times locks / unlocks the power adjustment buttons, simultaneously pressing the Fire / Up buttons will flip the display.
Pressing both Up / down buttons together accesses the menu, the menu options are: Smart VW, VW, VV, Default and exit.

The security compartment of the XIRON is very good, making use of eight levels of protection.

The 1,500mAh battery performed very well ensuring a good vaping autonomy. On average, a complete recharge takes from 35 to 45 minutes, the value of this time depends on the starting percentage of charge left which can vary depending on whether the 0.3 or 0.8 coil has been used.

- With the 0.3Ω coil (32-45W) I made 202 puffs at 32W which is a good result for a 1,500mAh Pod.

- With the 0.8Ω Coil (12-20 W) I made 365 puffs at 15W it seems to me an excellent result.
