► Vaporesso Target 80 iTank 2 Edition; First Impressions:
Vaporesso TARGET 80 Mod has been aesthetically updated with new materials but also with an updated firmware and a new Tank. The Kit adopts the new iTank 2 atomizer which uses the latest generation anti-leakage GTX coils. The dimensions remain the known ones of the previous Target device. The beautiful slim and slender form factor is unchanged. Considering the presence of a large 3,000mAh internal battery, I find the Mod to be sufficiently ergonomic and compact, easy to slip into your pocket. The total weight is about 150g and does not create any discomfort.
The generous shape of the bottom contributes in an excellent way to keep the device firmly in an upright position even during recharging. The six vent holes are specially made for safety in the event of a malfunction of the internal cell.
Three torx screws hold the Cup to the Mod. The 510 pin is spring loaded and is gold plated. The TARGET 80 steel cup has a small diameter and is well connected to the Mod, this allows the use of very small aftermarket tanks without unsightly protrusions.
I received the "Shadow Black" color version for this test. The side panels have been enriched with eco-leather cushions decorated with criss-cross textures. The leather material has been applied to make the product more durable for outdoor use and at the same time more comfortable in the user's hands. The braid is able to resist water infiltration. Furthermore, Vaporesso declares that the Target 80 is perfectly capable of withstanding falls from a height of 1.5 meters.
The frame of the mod is made of zinc alloy. The back has a central metal bar bearing the wording "Vaporesso" arranged vertically, at the top there is a T6 screw. The handle is quite comfortable because from a rounded side section you switch to a small rear profile that favors the grip.
The front of Target 80 is simple and slim, the part is covered almost entirely by a dark screen that incorporates 4 circular keys.
The top key is the largest and is that of Fire. Below the display there are the Up/Down adjustment keys + the (very convenient) "mode" key to quickly enter the menu. Underneath is Type-C charging. The TFT screen layout uses many colors. The user interface with additional features is revamped and uses easy-to-read fonts. The display shows the following information; battery bar, set power (Wattage, Voltage, Bypass), power mode, Ohms, Volts, puff counter, last puff duration.

• Turning on/off: 5 clicks on the Fire key
• Screen Lock/Unlock: Press the Fire button 3 times
• After connecting the Type-C cable to the Mod, the battery indicator indicates the percentage of charge and the remaining time
• Access to the menu is done by holding down the "menu" button until the mode starts flashing, using the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons you can switch to the other desired power modes, to confirm press the Fire button or wait 5 seconds
• To access the full settings, press the "menu" button 3 times, once inside, use the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons to adjust the various parameters. To confirm press the menu button.

• F(t) mode
This mode automatically adjusts the best temperature, speed and heating time of the resistance. According to Vaporesso the F(t) mode adequately releases the flavors of the liquid and offers a perfectly balanced tasting experience consistently from the first puff.
• PUL (Pulse Mode)
It is a mode designed by Vaporesso to improve the vape experience through constant voltage output. It is declared; an increase in flavor, a perception of nicotine maximized with a great Hit, and a vapor with a perfect and constant temperature.
• DIY mode
In this section it is possible to choose and set three power levels (VW) Soft, Normal, High. You can also set VV output from 0 to 9V, or BP (Bypass) mode
• Smart function
The very useful Smart function after being activated reads the resistance of the coil you are using by automatically setting the power to an appropriate wattage.

The iTank-2 tank has been recently renewed and derives from the original iTank awarded by vaping360.com as the best Sub-Ohm atomizer of 2022.
Mainly I noticed the good build quality of this tank which is solid, and well finished, it can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Included in this kit is a convex glass to increase the e-juice capacity from 4 to 8ml.
One of the main novelties of iTank-2 is represented by a new filling method which consists of a comfortable key to press. The spring inside the mechanism forcefully snaps the top cap aside. The engraving on the Top-Cap of a "reference red dot" indicates where the opening button is. The fill port is protected by a silicone membrane to prevent leakage problems.
iTank-2 uses a two-way adjustable AFC system called "Turbo Airflow" which guarantees a large air flow but also a good puff restriction. The rotating bezel of the AFC has rotation stops and is applied very well on the base. The base adopts an electronic liquid self-circulation system, in practice the internal conformation facilitates the recirculation of the condensate to vaporize it again, reducing the loss on the bottom. The base must be unscrewed and separated from the tank to insert the Gti coils from below.

• 0.2Ω GTi Mesh Coil (60-75W):
Using the Smart coil function, the Axon chipset sets the power of this coil to 55W by default, therefore 5W below the recommended range (60-75W). Operation is very smooth even at 55W with good activation speed. I found my sweet spot at 65W with AFC wide open! A beast of coils that projects us into a world made of dense clouds and excellent flavours. I was truly impressed! However, I expected these excellent performances because I have always considered Vaporesso as the company capable of designing the best pre-packaged coils in the entire sector.
• 0.4Ω Gti Mesh Coil (50-60W):
Using the Smart coil function, the Axon chipset sets the power of this coil to 40W by default, then 10W below the recommended range (50-60W).
Compared to the previous one, this resistance provides a slightly narrower and less satisfying vape in terms of flavor. Also in this case the steam production is maximized. At 50W I found my "Best" in combination with an AFC aperture of 3/4. In general, the 0.2Ω coil has an overall higher efficiency as it should be. However, the 0.4Ω resistor allows for longer battery life.

I liked this entry-level kit, I didn't find any noteworthy defects and it really has many advantages. The battery integrated inside Target 80 reaches the remarkable capacity of 3000mAh, this would not be said in such a small mod. The Target 80 has an average of 36% more battery capacity than leading competitor products of similar size. The integrated battery allows a more efficient use of the available space compared to removable battery mods that have the same capacity, in fact this Mod is much smaller and lighter. The Target 80's protective frame design was engineered for outdoor use without fear of accidental drops, abuse, or impact. The comfortable form factor conveys a good feeling to the user. The charging speed is impressive, Target 80 can be charged to 20% within 15 minutes. The DC-DC storage converter with an output voltage greater than the input allows the Step-Up to semi-discharged battery without experiencing power losses. As the vaping market matures, products are becoming more and more similar to each other, and to outperform the competition Vaporesso has invested heavily in research and development of innovative modes such as F(t) mode or pulse mode. direct current (which Vaporesso was the first to introduce).
