Hello and welcome to today's review of the Gen SE Kit from vaporesso that was sent to me from Sourcemore. This kit features the Gen SE mod that is a single 18650 device with a power output of 80 watts and has 3 menu themes that are GENERAL, FOOTBALL ( SOCCER ) and UFO. There are 4 power modes VV, ECO, PULSE and WATTAGE but there is a smart setting as well. The main feature in my opinion is that the device has a locking switch that locks all buttons from functioning. Also included in this kit is the iTank T that uses the great GTI coils of which the 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω are supplied.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Packaging was nicely done with a slide out inner bottom box containing everything, everything sits in it's own cutout with a rectangular envelope on top that contains all your paper material. Picking the device up I was surprised at how light it was minus the 18650 battery.

Vaporesso wraps a protective wrapper around the device to protect the display screen, it can leave a gummy substance on the corners of the display screen.

Starting with the tank I was pleased to see a slide open top cap that had a good amount of resistance to it so no worry's on a accidental opening when pocket carried. In the kit you get a 2nd glass tube that holds 6mls of juice, it's a bubble tank with the shipped glass already installed being a 3ml straight glass tube. I caution you to fill slowly to avoid a back pressure mess from happening. The tank has dual airflow slots with one side having numbers, there are no hard stops.

Vaporesso added knurling to the airflow control and base to aid in turning, I think it also adds to the tanks and combo appearance.

There is only one fill port and it creates some back pressure when filling so fill SLOWLY to avoid a mess. The top cap slides back far enough that using a 100ml bottle is a breeze, it even stands unsupported.

Prior to using I always break down a tank for a long bath of dawn and warm water to remove any oil from the manufacturing process that could possibly still be on the internals of the tank. I kept the straight glass on because I like the look of it over the bubble tank.

Turning our attention to the mod, Many of you remember the texture of vinyl record and that's the texture the front and back have with the sides, top and bottom being smooth. One side pops off to install the 18650 battery, there's a small indent to catch a finger nail at the bottom of the panel.

The battery side panel fits with no play whatsoever and is held on with magnets, there is also a battery ribbon to aid with removal of the 18650 battery which is spring loaded on the bottom contact.

There are 4 power modes VV, ECO, PULSE and WATTAGE but you can use Vaporesso's smart mode in conjunction. This device is so simple and easy to use with a very easy menu system which consist of 3 quick presses to enter it, once in use the adjustment buttons to navigate where you want to go and once there press the fire button to activate that selection.

To turn the device on/off press the fire button 5 times very quickly. There are 3 screen display themes to choose from being UFO,GENERAL and FOOTBALL(soccer). All have animation that I normally don't care for but the UFO is pretty nice. The locking switch works great and is in a perfect location on the front of the device. FINAL IMPRESSION


I am very pleased with the Gen SE Kit and find no real cons to speak of, it is a bit top heavy though, I've never had it tip over but wanted to mention it.

As far as the animation goes I can take it or leave it but these are some good looking choices that you have and I forgot to mention there is no way to disable them.

The GTi coils are some of the best flavor producers on the market and both coils gave a warm saturated with flavor vape.

I really have to have a lock switch on devices of this size and the Gen SE's lock switch works great. I also like just how compact the device is, being a rectangle it fits the palm of the hand nicely.
