Greetings from semi sunny Spain fellow vaperinos.

Time for another review, this time its a product from vaporesso, the GEN 200 Kit with iTank 2 Edition that sent to me by my friends over at sourcemore for the purposes of this review.

Ok let's get the party started, for those that want a quick look about what this kit is all about i will start us off with some pics which will give you a general idea of the product i am reviewing today.

Unboxing and first impressions:

Remove the plastic wrap, slide out the sleeve and voila, right on top you have your instruction manual and warranty neatly tucked into a tiny thin box.
Remove that and right there is everything neatly put in their place, packaging is properly done just like Vaporesso always does.

Curious about the ''lighter'' mod i pick it up and dang!! this thing is light (only 76g),for a dual battery that is pretty cool.
Holding it feels comfortable, one would think that those tiny dots in the mod would make it feel weird and lumpy but it actually feels smooth.

The tank itself sure is heavy, actually heavier than the mod itself (without batteries) tried looking for the actual weight of the iTank 2 but didn't find it anywhere.
Along with the mod and the tank you get a replacement glass, baggie with o-rings with a replacement for the gasket where the fill port is and 2 coils.

Vaping time:

Time to feed the beast, open it up and pop in the batteries.
Oh and by the way there isn't a ribbon in the battery compartment so you can remove the batteries with more ease, not a deal breaker but it would have been nice.

Batteries in,coil primed and inside the tank soaking the sweet nectar of the god so while i wait for the coil to be ready let us go thru the operation of the menu for the Gen 200:

Screen navigation:
-Power on and off just 5 clicks of the fire button
-You can also lock the screen by pressing the fire button 3 times
-Main menu is accessed by just pressing the middle button 3 times
-In the menu just use + and - to go thru the options and then fire button to confirm your choice

Color screen will vary depending on what mode you're in.

F(t) mode: yellow
Pulse mode: red
Wattage mode: blue

F(t) MODE is by adjusting temperature, heating speed and time, F(t) mode releases the flavors of e-liquid adequately, delivering the perfect balanced tasting experience consistently from the first puff throughout.

PUL: PULSE MODE:
PULSE MODE is a mode to improve vaping experience through constant voltage output, delivering optimal flavour production, throat hit, nicotine satisfaction, and perfect temperature cloud continuously.

VWN: VARIABLE WATTAGE MODE/ SIMPLE MODE
VWN MODE is a normal mode of output wattage, you can according to the coil resistance to adjust the best wattage for your needs. The user interface shows wattage, resistance and puff counter for your immersive vaping experience.

DIY: DIY MODE
You can choose traditional VW (H, N, S), VV, BP (Bypass) modes in this section.

SMART VW
When this function is turned on and a TANK is installed, the system will recommend the best power.

That about sums it up,me personally i just left it in VWN and got ready to vape.
2 coils included in this kit:
-0.2Ω GTi Mesh Coil (60-75W)
-0.4Ω GTi Mesh Coil (50-60W)

The 0.4 is pre installed so yeah why not,it has higher wattage recommendation than i am use to but i feel dangerous today
Also i have used the 0.4 coil as my main for many many months so i know what to expect.

Dang,this thing delivers.
As usual i started at low wattage and worked myself up,think max i got was 65 watts and wow yeah that was a bit much but it was a real flavorful and mouth watering vaping experience.

The mod itself worked admirably and the performance of the coil was top notch even after several times that i chain vaped, kept on delivering the same flavor and cloud production.

Pros:

-Lightweight mod
-Durable well made tank
-8ml capacity using the bubble glass
-Easy menu to navigate
-GTi coils? sooo good.
-Big ol' colorful screen

Cons:

-Would have liked a ribbon in the battery compartment to remove the batteries with more ease
-Not fully convinced with the system to open the top cap, while reaching for the mod that was in my man bag i did open up the top cap by accident a couple of times.
Maybe a con for me but not sure about that ''button'' system for the tank

Would i recommend this kit:

All around a good kit, good quality mod and good quality tank.
Performance wise i cannot fault the Gen 200/iTank 2 in anyway so if you decide to get this kit you will have all your vaping needs well met.

Aesthetic wise and this is just a personal opinion i gotta be honest, mod just doesn't sit right with me.
Could be the shape, the materials or maybe just the impression i get that it looks a tad old, like old school and to boxy.
This is not really a con, more like my personal opinion purely based on aesthetics and has nothing to do with the superb performance i got from both the mod and the tank.

Well that is it for today folks.

Thanks to my friends at Sourcemore for sending me this product so i could review it and thanks to everyone who took the time to read this review.

Good review. I'm a big fan of the original iTank and I agree with you about the push button opening of the new tank. I don't think I'd like it. I can just see the tank opening when I put the mod and tank in my lunchbox and carry it.

Thanks buddy,i always appreciate when you pop in and comment.

4 times so far i have opened it while in town, reaching in my man bag to pick it up and boom open, apart from that i cannot find any fault on the tank to be honest.

I didn't comment on the ''Liquid Self-Cleaning System'' because there wasn't any information anywhere, not in the instruction manual, not in their website nor in any of the reviews i have read.

Kinda weird if you ask me,if you have a feature like that at least type a paragraph or two explaining exactly what it is.
Only thing i noticed is that the base seems heavier and wider than a usual tank, that's about it.

I really didn't know anything about the self cleaning thing. The Vaporesso rep stopped responding so I haven't been staying up on any of their newer stuff.

Sorry to hear about the reps not responding.
About the cleaning thing still nada,no info anywhere about it which is very odd to say the least.

Nice review, this is such a nice combo of mod and tank. I love my Blue colored one, you didn't post any pictures of yours in the review, what color do you have?

    I got the grey one.
Wish i could post more pics but time wise i am always doing stuff so i kinda just skip to all the text i gotta write.
I keep the pics at the beginning so folks can get a quick glance of what i am reviewing.

By the way the kit didn't stay to long with me,cashier at the local LIDL,single mother making ends meet and she ran out of the disposables i gave her last time from a previous review.
So i dropped the kit at her place with a couple of spare coils, she will make better use of it,i will probably just keep it in my trunk and barely use it so you know its good to spread the love.

Is the mod different from the original Gen 200? I see they made it lighter. Anything else?

Light mods scare me. They only get that light with plastic.

This is a pic i forgot to add to my review:

    vapo light.jpg

So yeah seems all plastic apart from the ''rubber coating'' and the ''metal spray''.

Compared to the older version this one is much lighter, smaller and has the screen/buttons on front, think the older version had the screen/buttons on the side.
And the chip,i think the previous version didn't have the Axon chip like this one,not sure thou i couldn't find any good info on the older version and i never owned the previous version so i can't really tell you much more.

No IP rating on this one but it didn't feel squishy or weak, don't know how it would do in a fall but i guess it could take a couple drops, not big ones thou.
Like i said in my written/video review, aesthetics are just bland,a bit boxy for my taste plus the material on the outside felt kinda odd.
But hey that is just me,i like a mix of 80% performance 20% aesthetics, but if performance is all you want and you don't mind how it looks this kit will do the job.

I guess what I meant was, is the Gen 200 an upgraded version of the Gen 200 that was released like a year ago, right after the release of the Target series? Or is it still the same one? I see the iTank got a slight facelift with the flip open top cap instead of the swiveling one that a lot of people disliked - I didn't mind it. I figured if they did release a new Gen 200, they'd have named it something different. Gen 200 II or something like that. It must be the same mod.

Yeah i am pretty sure its the same mod that came was in the kit with the first model of the iTank.
To be honest i don't know why they complicate things just for the sake of it,twist top cap has been a well proven method so why deviate from that?

Lucky that i keep my vaping device and my phone on separate compartments of my man bag when i go out, accidentally opened the top while trying to reach my mod for a quick puff or two.
It kinda swings out forcefully,i mean not like it will take down a wall but if my phone were there it would have cracked the screen, for real...no joke.
