Hey gang... started vaping about a month ago and it is so much nice than real smoking. Anyway, I seem to get extremely hungry in the morning when vaping, even if I ate a good size breakfast. Now analog cigs curbed my appetite, but this vaping stuff seems to make me very hungry.... anyone else experience this sensation?

my bio stats: age 44, height 5'10", weight: 185 lbs, average health, middle mgt job with moderate stress levels. (because I have smoked for 25 years and do not really exercise).

I've had the opposite reaction - vaping makes me lose my appetite. That's been a problem for me, because I was already about as skinny as I wanted to be (nearly 50 years old and wearing 28" waist pants at 5'9") after a year of dieting. I've had to consciously think about eating and force myself to eat.

When I started dieting I had to learn to distinguish between cravings and actual hunger. I got cravings all the time, but only ate when I was really and truly hungry. I've noticed that cravings have kicked in harder since I stopped smoking, and it's for stuff that I'd kicked off my menu - chocolate, and other sweets. I'm pretty convinced that it's withdrawal from the other stuff in cigarettes, the stuff vaping isn't providing, that's done it.

It's possible that you aren't getting enough nic, since nicotine causes one to reduce their appetite.

I just started vaping less then 1 week and I noticed that too. I'm always so hungry in the morning. I use to just eat a bowl of cereal then off to work in the morning. Now i can't, by the time i get to work i'm hungry again. Then as the day go by, i'm ok. Like I won't be hungry after I eat dinner. It's always that breakfast - lunch time.

In my experience, vaping has been a form of sub-conscious dieting! I can enjoy all of my favorite flavors without ever having to eat. When I have a craving for sweets, I dip some candy. I have pizza flavor on order right now, can't wait to try that, and I have been contemplating ordering some bacon flavor to put on my pizza! I am still waiting on a potato chip flavor though to satisfy those salty taste buds, lol.

I used to associate eating and analogs with boredom, and since I've changed both habits, I vape whenever I feel bored and that usually satiates any hunger pangs. Otherwise, I drink water and/or snack on something healthy, like fruit. May as well, right? We're all vaping for a healthy alternative to our former lifestyle.

LOL ! no haping (hash-vaping)
Thanks for the quick responses and feedback. No not vaping anything out of the ordinary, just blu's vivid vanilla and some johnson creek wisc-frost. Pandatera experience seems to match mine. Well I will keep you posted if things change, cause right now I gotta go grab a hamburger or something.)

I've only been vaping a short time, but I seem to be constantly hungry. I ordered some juice with a higher nic level, so I'm hoping that will take care of it. It's not natural to be starving an hour after eating a Culver's Deluxe (unless you are smoking the good stuff lol)!

I get hungry when I vape too. For me, drinking a glass of water takes care of it. I'm guessing the hunger feeling is actually dehydration from vaping too much (Bananas Foster is my favorite flavor right now & I'm using it like a pacifer!)

I was just going to mention that dehydration mimics hunger and then I saw your post. So now I'll just do a good ol' "I second that thought!"

At first when I quit smoking I was insanely hungry with strong hunger pains even while vaping a too high nicotine dose for me. While I had the strong hunger pains (I am really hydrated so I don't think it was lack of liquid) the munchies I used to get in between cigarettes was gone and was sated by vaping.

I am currently lowering my nic content (not by choice...my body is making me) from 24 a month ago down to 18 last week and now down to 12 and I have noticed that this extreme hunger is going away. My experience could also be related to my quitting smoking during the holidays and gorging on sugar all day so...

My thoughts is that it's not just the nicotine in analogs that curbs hunger. It's something else or a combination of something else. Again...just my thoughts and NO research to back it up whatsoever.
