► Vapefly Tim Pod; First Impressions:
Vapefly is an established Chinese company that has always shown itself to be attentive to the needs of the European market with various Western collaborations for the development of its products, even in this case Vapefly did not deny itself and created Tim Pod in collaboration with the German YouTuber Dampfalot TV . Tim Pod has an attractive design with its slender profile and the small display that stands out on the front. When handling Tim Pod what is most striking is the impression of structural solidity that it transmits to the user thanks to the use of zinc and aluminum alloy. Furthermore, the "premium" impression is accentuated by the fact that when you insert the cartridge or when the battery is empty Tim Pod warns us via vibration.

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Auto Draw + Fire Button:
In addition to the presence of a small and refined display and in addition to vibration notifications, Tim Pod also proves to be very rich in terms of classic functions; in fact it is possible to use both automatic extraction and activation via the Fire button. The automatic shot is sensitive and activates instantly, furthermore it is possible after having set the preferred power to disable the Fire button to store the device in the pockets in complete safety, this is a rather useful function for a Pod Mod!

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Built-in Battery and Charging Port:
Tim Pod has a rather large footprint which allows the user to place the device on the table in an upright position without problems, furthermore on the bottom in addition to the battery specifications there is a 2A Type-C port which allows for a rather fast full charge about 45 minutes. During charging the charging percentage is shown, furthermore when the operation is finished the device turns off automatically and this is an important safety function. The integrated battery has a capacity of 1,100mAh which is not at all low for this type of device, this means that the time dedicated to vaping will be sufficiently long especially in combination with some low energy absorption MTL coils that Vapefly makes available to us.

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Side view + AFC:
I forgot to mention that I received Tim Pods from Vapefly for this test in red with elegant shades of black towards the bottom. Tim Pod has a flat design on the front/back sides and is well connected to the side profile, furthermore on the sides there are some hollowed lines which increase the grip with the fingers and which give Tim Pod a further positive aesthetic impact. On one side there is a slot for sliding air control which is controlled by a small metal knob, the AFC system consists of 3 small slots of increasing size, the first is the smallest and is logically developed for MTL extractions of narrow type, the second is the medium one which can be used together with the first and the third, finally the large one can be used together with the other two to obtain deeper aspirations in RDL style.

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Rear & Front View:
A self-respecting Pod device must be designed well, in fact in the image below you can see how particular attention has been paid to the dimensions of the e-liquid control windows which are really large, this allows the user quick and excellent monitoring . At the bottom on the back side there are the identifying acronyms of the collaboration between Dampfalot TV & Vapefly, the C E brand and the disposal logo. The front is really nice, there is a small dark screen that collects the display and there is also the nice multifunctional Fire button. At the bottom there is the writing "TIM".

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Operation Guide:
The dark screen of Tim Pod does not only have an aesthetic value, in fact the screen being dark highlights the white fonts making them really bright and clearly visible. On the display you can read; the set power, the ohm value of the coil and the voltage, there is also a graphic indicator of the battery charge level. To turn on the device you need to press the fire button 5 times. To turn off you must click the button again 5 times, select the shutdown mode (Automode or Diy Mode) and hold the button down. Thanks to the Automode mode, Tim Pod chooses the best power for each coil, thus avoiding premature burns. By selecting DIY mode you can configure your preferred power yourself, here's how; 3 clicks on the button until the value flashes, then with 1 click in sequence you can adjust the power between 5 and 30W in steps of 0.5W at a time.

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Thread Pods:
The cartridge is firmly attached to the Mod via two powerful magnets, inside the compartment/pod you can see the two gold-plated contact pins which are spring loaded, next to it there is the sensor for activating the "automatic puff" ", the sensor is placed in a raised position to avoid malfunctions resulting from the possible formation of condensation.

    ► Vapefly Tim Pod Cartridge:
The dark colored PCTG cartridge matches the color of this kit well, it also has a notable capacity of 4ml which is quite a lot. The filling is of the lateral type and is protected by a silicone rubber, filling this cartridge is quite simple thanks to a rather large hole. The coil is inserted from the bottom with light pressure.

    ► Vapeflay Tim Coils:
At the moment Vapefly offers users a platform of 4 coils for this device, two are specific for restricted MTL and can be purchased separately, the other two are for MTL/RDL and are included in the kit.

► Vapefly Tim Pod; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
    • 1.2Ω KA1 Mesh Coil (Sold separately) 10-13W:

With Smart Mode active the coil initially activates at 11W. This is certainly the MTL coil that will be most appreciated by fans of muffled MTL shooting. I normally use this coil with only one open airflow hole. The steam produced is quite dry; if you want to obtain an extreme MTL shot you can also completely close the AFC without encountering particular problems of condensation or spitting phenomena.

    • 1.0Ω KA1 Mesh Coil (Sold separately) 12-15W:
With the Smart Mode active, the coil is initially activated at 13W, offering a smooth shot without the formation of condensation. With the AFC wide open the flavor is a little too diluted, so to concentrate the flavor more you need to move the AFC slider to a tighter position. In the middle slider position the cloud production is satisfactory and the flavor improves. You can also decide to leave only the smallest hole open for air flow, and this coil will offer you a rather tight and Hit-loaded shot without any complications. The slider position with a single open hole is definitely the best combination to achieve the best balance for MTL vaping.

    • 0.8Ω KA1 Mesh Coil (pre-installed) 15-18W:
With Smart Mode active the coil initially activates at 16W. With the airflow completely open I like it and it suits my vaping style. Compared to the previous one, this one is more oriented towards the RDL shot, resulting in similar but harder behavior in the emission of clouds and in the perception of flavor. By further restricting the airflow you can achieve a substantial throat hit and good satisfaction. I have not recorded any condensation or spitting phenomena.

    • 0.6Ω KA1 Mesh Coil (included) 19-22W:
With Smart Mode active the coil initially activates at 21W. This is definitely the Mesh Coil that I prefer for my way of vaping. With the AFC fully open the power delivery is rapid with both the key and the automatic mechanism. This resistor emphasizes the sweetness of my e-liquid, the flavor is faithful and develops dense and creamy clouds of vapor. The Puff is moist at the right point and if necessary it is easy to achieve a decidedly satisfying throat hit simply by slightly closing the air flow control. I have not recorded any condensation or spitting phenomena, the shot is always fluid and silent, the power remains constant until the last puff thanks to the step-up chipset.

This surprising Tim Pod positively impressed me both aesthetically and technically, it remains quite difficult to part with it when you start using it. Vapefly's Step-up chip raises the voltage automatically when the battery is low, making the last puffs before charging as satisfying as the first ones. You can do all the setting operations simply using a single button. Smart mode is set by default and comes to the aid of inexperienced users. The AFC system is well calibrated for the 4 coils available, in fact it can offer you a rather large air flow but also a really narrow MTL flow when you completely close the slide. The 4ml tank and 1,100mAh battery with 2A Type-C port are interesting features so you'll never be without your Pod for long!

    • I thank Miss Mia from Vapefly for sending me Tim Pod for review:
