Vape Keeps Saying Short

Know how to do it or really anything else besides just smoke the thing. Anyways i have a Sigelei and I've had it for maybe a few months. Never really had a problem with it. I am very prone to dropping it and usually have to buy a new glass for my tank Atleast once or twice a month. At the very least. Lmao. AnywYs so I
Was just hitting it and went to push the fire button and it says Short .... and then it says Low Res. I don't know what none
Of this means. I don't really know anything about vaping but how to smoke it. Usually when I'm having a problem I just take it into the vape shop and they help me but I'm not gonna be able to make it there til sometime tomorrow and just ate and really would like to smoke right now. Can anyone help me?!?! Plz!!!

Short or Low Res means there is something wrong with your coil.
Are you using the same coils as you normally do each day?

Change the coil.

Changing the coil is a good idea. "Short" or "Low Res" means the machine thinks the resistance in the coil is too low to safely fire, so it won't do it. It can be other things, but a bad coil is the most likely.

Faulty, unstable, improperly QC'ed coil head. The first firing of a coil generally locks its true resistance in as the metal is annealed and softened to set into place properly. Sometimes the coil can shift, make contact to the outer coil barrel and cause a short, one of the legs could expand and protrude making a short, any number of conceivable scenarios. The coil as of now is at a resistance the mod is programmed not to fire below and is dangerous, so just replace the coil head. If you can't then you'll need to remove the coil, check the bottom pin for any protruding wires and try to sheer them off (nail clippers will work for that), if nothing there, check down the coil from the top, see if any of the coil is touching the barrel, if nothing there then the short is internal on one of the coil wire legs further down and would require a total tear down of the coil head.

first, remove atty and press fire button and see if it sez no atty... if it does than the atty is the issue, if it sez short or low res, then you have a mod issue...

Try changing ur atty if u have a spare one... And if possible put new coils in it..if its the same, your mod may be the problem..

Welcome and glad you joined.
Great excuse to join. Could of been be many reasons,but I bet it may of had something to do with your dropping problem.
Pretty sure the vape shop took care of it.

I'm not sure the reason for your mod reading that, though I think it could be many things. I did want to address the dropping issue.... I bought nylon but small and fat tank protectors to wrap around my glass, and they're pretty cheap on amazon, they're like mini Pharmstrong yellow bracelets only they're small and made for tanks. Pretty cheap and if you shatter tanks a lot, may be worth the investment for you.... If the mod's working now?

I used to bump mine alot on my desk so i kinda know where op comes from (although i don't drop mine outside at all). Got a big baby beast now though and i use both rubber rings that came with it , one on top one on the bottom, the rings seem to make a huge difference when i do bump it even though i try not to as i don't want to ruin the stainless finish on it

For the issue at hand i'd say like others : most likely a coil issue but could be a mod problem since he drops it so much....
