Hello,

Today the newest version in the Berserker line, the Berserker Mini V2 Mini MTL rta. It is basically a mini version of the recently released BSKR V2. Just like all Berserkers it is designed by Alex from vapersmd.

Special thanks to Vandy vape for sending me this rta for review.

Specifications:

Packaging:

1* Berserker Mini V2 MTL RTA
2* Drip Tip (+1 preinstalled)
1* PEI Tube
1* Metal Cap
8* Airflow Tube
1* Spare Parts Bag
1* Instruction Manual
2* Superfine MTL Fused Clapton Coil 0.74ohm

Review:

Packaging is very generous, 3 drip-tips and 3 tubes, and 8 deck airflow inserts very nice. Also, some coils are included but unfortunately no cotton.

It is a tiny 22mm RTA, and very much appreciate the looks of this RTA. Only visible branding is the engraved BSKR logo on the chamber, nice.

Overall machining feels proper, not having any issues with threading or cheap feeling on this RTA. Knurling matches on the top and bottom and provides sufficient grip to easily unscrew.

A bit more than a quarter turn top-cap to access the fill ports. It has a nice bit of restrictiveness to it making sure it won't open on its own. Two large enough fill holes are covered with a rubber membrane to prevent leaking from the top.

As said you get 3 tubes, one pre-installed glass tube, one metal tube and one PEI tube. The metal tube looks amazing on this RTA, but it is just not very practical as you cannot see your liquid. Glass and PEI tube provide a 2ML capacity and the metal tube 2.5ML capacity, kind of standard for a 22mm.

In the beginning I really thought the airflow ring was not adjustable as it sits so tight on there. I believed the only airflow adjustment was the 8 deck-inserts. But after a couple of days I found it is adjustable after it got a bit lubricated. It can be on some mods however hard to turn the airflow ring. Airflow ring does have a stopper on each side, fully open and fully closed. Cannot complain about the sounds the airflow produces, very smooth.

All 3 drip-tips included are legit MTL drip-tips. I especially love the tallest one, it looks amazing on this tank. As the tallest one is not made out of one piece, the plastic top part can be unscrewed from the metal bottom part. Don't see much of a function in that, but ok.

Getting 8 different airflow inserts for the deck is just amazing. This is the definition of 'MTL fine-tuning'. With the smallest one, 0.8mm, you can get such a tight draw that it is even too tight for me. I find using the 1.2 or 1.4 best for flavor and a tight draw. And yes, with the 2.0 you sre able to get sufficient airflow for a nice restricted DTL hit. What is best, you can swap these inserts without having to take off your coil, this really helps to in a comfortable way find your favorite setting. Once you get the setting you like, you just leave it in there.

Build-deck unscrews easily, and anyone can see this build deck does not require much skill. Two posts with flathead screws are the be unscrewed, then drop in your coils legs, clip and voila! Nice that the back of the posts is flat, makes it easy to get a tight cut and prevent short-outs. Wicking ports are not very big but acceptable for an MTL RTA. Once positioning the coil it is important to check if it is not touching the sticking out metal part of the airflow inserts.

One minus I have for this deck is that the posts are right next to each other. This creates some issues trying to get a long, spaced coil in there. I understand it would have been hard to get them further apart as the deck is not very spacious. It is possible to get a spaced coil in, just need to be more patient. I like the included clapton coils a lot and they fit the posts perfectly. Not promoting anyone here, but the coilogy Ni80 MTL clapton coils generally are my favorite for any MTL RTA, and they fit perfectly on this RTA as well.

Vaping on this RTA is a real pleasure. Very proper flavor and especially throat hit I am getting from this RTA. What also makes it such a pleasure is that it has been trouble free so far, which is rare for an RTA in my opinion, there is always something not going as it should. With the tons of airflow options, I am sure aby MTL-vaper out there can make this RTA match their preferences.

Conclusion:

Very nice little 22mm RTA that has been trouble free. It does what it needs to do, provide a pleasurable vape experience. Good job on this one Vandy Vape and Alex.
