The vast majority of mods are not designed to be disassembled by the user. If a battery exploded in yours why would you risk using it again? Where would you get the replacement parts? How would you know if it was safe to use again?

Sorry for your loss, but that mod is beyond repair. Save your money and get a new mod. And make sure you use the right batteries in it and charge them externally in a Li-ion battery charger. Battery Basics for Mods: The Definative Battery Guide for Vaping

The Uwell Nunchaku uses an external 18650 battery. You should have been charging the battery in a Li-ion battery charger, not using the internal micro USB charger in the mod. Mods are not toys; the batteries they use are extremely powerful. If you abuse or misuse them, they can do a lot of property or body damage.

it looks like its just burned a bit. maybe just a few conductor tracks or a few resistors which one could messure. if the mods arnt designed to be charged via usb port, why would the manufacturer add an usb port in the first place and risk lawsuits?

now im using a stick x8 mech mod where you cant remove the battery. does your statement mean that the stick x8 is a ticking time bomb? if yes, why are they allowed to be sold anyway?

Removeable batteries for regulated mods are best charged in a separate Li-ion battery charger. Its safer and faster, plus you can monitor the battery's temperature for excessive heat by touching it while its charging. The USB is primarily for firmware upgrades for the circuit board from your computer. It has an internal charger for emergency situations when you don't have access to an external charger.

In case you weren't aware, Chinese manufacturers are immune to international lawsuits.

Video evidence of a SMOK Stick X8 battery explosion caught on home security cam while USB charging on the kitchen counter.

Many vapers avoid the internal battery mods altogether because they feel USB charging is more dangerous than charging external batteries in a Li-ion charger. I personally don't go that far, but if given a CHOICE I'll always choose to charge externally over internally. One study found that 80% of all battery explosions reported occur while charging.

E-Cigarette Explosions: Comprehensive List
"The FEMA document cited above suggests that approximately 80 percent of e-cigarette explosions happen during charging."
