good question. It DOES come out, I promise.

firstly, take the 510 screw out of the bottom.

then, take the post screw out of the middle post.

Now, with something thin and small, but still sturdy and rigid (like a small flat head screwdriver or a small allen wrench) insert it into the post hole (like a coil) and twist it while pulling upward.
The goal of this is to twist the center post up and out of it's position.
It's best to do this while its connected to a mod THAT IS TURNED OFF.

I don't know about the tugboat but I have removed the center pin from several drippers to turn them into bottom feeders. For ones with no bottom screw I have found them all to be press fit from below. I use a viset to push them out. I use my rose v2 building base around the 510 pin but you could just use a socket from a wrench set. I remove the screws. If the positive screw sticks out higher than the negatives I clamp it into the vice and start pressing the bin down. when the vise bottoms out, I remove it and check if I can pull the pin out. If I can't, I put a screw with a tall head into the positive pin, screw it all the way down and press again. This has always gotten the pin out for me. Then I slot the pin and/or the insulator and press it back together.
You do need a vise for this. You have to push straight on the pin. I wouldn't recommend doing it with pliers or a c-clamp.
