Trident on an Ego?

So, I am starting to buy my Christmas presents to myself already (best to give the vaper visa gift cards, right?). First thing I ordered was a Trident rda. Now the actual Christmas exchanges with our families are a couple of weeks off (Trident came out of my work bonus), I will have only an Ego Spinner until I can collect my thoughts and get over the holidays to do some mod shopping, where I will either be looking at MVP 2's or something in the Provari arena.

My question, has anyone here run a Trident on an Ego with any degree of success? I figure that it is still a simple function of resistance and voltage, but I know the power on an Ego isn't as clean or constant as an MVP or Provari. Can I expect to see any performance issues until I can go mod shopping, or will I still get a decent vape out of my Trident until then?

With a single coil, you will be fine. Duals not so much. IMO

only thing i can see is the trident will probably weigh 3 times what the ego does.

No promblems there, my Protank is a heavy piece as well; I can balance the whole setup right on the connection point.

just stay above 1.5ohms and you should be fine.

I used my trident on an ego with a 1.7 ohm coil, and it worked okay. I noticed it did start to get a little warm after chain vaping. With that resistance it is pushing around 2 amps. I don't know what the amp limit an ego can push, but if it starts to warm up, stop using it.
