This is really a one-off, but I read on the forums that a large component of throat hit is the nicotine causing some muscles in your throat to contract.

Well, since I read that, I have noticed that little muscles in the front of my tongue appear to occassionally twitch very slightly when I am sucking in on an ecig with a nicotine liquid in it (around 14-16 mg eliquid). No liquid hitting the tongue, just vapor passing over it.

I'm wondering if this is just my imagination after reading about throat hit, or if reading about it caused me to notice a genuine phenomenon. Has anyone else experienced this "tongue twitch"?

I can't imagine this as having any ill effect, I am just curious as to other's experiences. Thanks!

Yeah, yeah, laugh your freakin' heads off... but some day on that day you will rue this day that you did say, "hey, your tongue? Your tongue? No Way!"
Bite your tongue.
And it won't be hard to find me in Southern Illinois. There are only ten people here.
No but really, does anyone's tongue twitch? Anyone?
Darn.

Whew. You think you have problems. When I just think about nicotine, my entire mind twitches. Those eager endorphin receptors, or whatever they are, start dancing around like little little drops of propylene glycol dripped onto a red-hot griddle. Don't even get me started... and if anyone from A.S.H. sees this message, I intend to disavow every damned word of it.

I dont know. I dont understand people that say they "wake up at night" "twitching" "from nicotine" or anything else regarding anything along the semblance of 'nicotine poisoning' - As another poster posted in another thread, his blood test results for nicotine content in his blood, while he vaped 36mg liquid the entire hour long ride on the way to the test. He ended up having nic levels barely over someone that is a non-smoker and well below someone that IS a smoker...

I think its all your / our heads. Sure we're getting nicotine but in a lot lower dosage than smoking allows. I dont see how anyone gets sick or any of that from vaping. I just dont. Idk maybe I'm crazy.

Which is actually more than likely come to think about it...

Wow. Now that would seriously freak me out. It puts my (probably psychosomatic I'm now going to start saying publically while still believing deep inside that they are real, REAL I TELL YOU REAL!!!!) little tongue twitches to shame. I can't imagine vaping 36 or 48 like some people talk about. I vape around the same range as you (12 to 18), and if I overdo that I get a headache.
Not a twitchy headache, but a
hurty headache.

Lashes, you like, seriously need to calm down. You are totally way overusing quotation marks out of needless agitation.
But hey, from what I've read, it all IS in our heads. Or the receptors in our brains, more specifically.

And, OK, seriously, you are right. I've decided that my tongue twitching is psychosomatic.

Really.

Really really really. Really.

Happy Vaping! :p <-- see? can you see?

Do you have any idea how hard it is for me right now to not post something that will encumber my continued membership on this forum???

Yep..the restraint is causing my hands to shake!

hahahaha wow first time i hear of it.. I mean if the eye twitch wasn't funny enough ..This took the score

ok it's just not me then. I see the weirdest supposed 'effects' here. I have not had one. Not one bizarre occurrence .....well except for my eyes popping when I read of them.8-o

But if my wife hops in the car and heads off toward Southern Illinois.... I'll know why.

ha ha ha funny

Thanks, Kristin, I have already read that post but I'll check it out again. I also liked your 510 tutorial, thank you very much! :)
I am just dropping in to post that I still felt like my tongue was twitching some today when I vaped. I'm open to the idea that it's the different way you draw with an eCig, mabe, causing stress on my tongue muscles.
But not really.
I am totally convinced my tongue is twitching when I vape nicotine eLiquid.
(takes a big puff)
But I do not give a heck. I love vaping.
Peace out!
