i smoke a cigarette a day now. cutting down from almost half a pack a day. i vape all day pretty much except the morning cig. my question is. if i smoke a cig a day and vape does it still clean my lung outs or it will never start the natrual process untill i quit both? im asuming the way VG\PG still makes some kind of coating on your lung which might not be harmful but might delay natural lung cleaning process. please anwser honestly lol:p Happy vaping yall:)

Heres medical data: Health consequences of smoking 1

Abstract
Objectives: To determine the risk in men and women smoking 1–4 cigarettes per day of dying from specified smoking related diseases and from any cause.

Participants: 23 521 men and 19 201 women, aged 35–49 years, screened for cardiovascular disease risk factors in the mid 1970s and followed throughout 2002.

Conclusions: In both sexes, smoking 1–4 cigarettes per day was associated with a significantly higher risk of dying from ischaemic heart disease and from all causes, and from lung cancer in women. Smoking control policymakers and health educators should emphasise more strongly that light smokers also endanger their health.

    Welcome to ECF Oleg :)
Hard to answer your question "honestly" but I think you would still fair better even with your one cigarette. But like one other person mentioned, it might slow the process down a bit :?:

I'm still experimenting but I think VG in particular may leave a residue in my lungs which I then have to cough up. It's not as nasty as the tar from cigarettes but I have been avoiding inhaling too much because of this. One thing which helps is if I add a few drops of vodka to a high (thick) VG mix to thin it out.
