I often see vapers referencing "throat hit". For me it's that feeling in my chest (a bit of swelling and sensation of filling them) that I liked when smoking. I saw one person call that "Chest Hit".

So, is throat hit the same as chest hit? Because I don't like it when a cig "burns" my throat, nor do I like it when vaping burns my throat. But, love it when either hits my lungs.

And, if there is a difference, how do you get the one (chest hit) without the other (throat hit)?

Thanks!

I've also seen this referred to as "lung hit". For me there seem to be three variables: vapor heat, nic level and flavorings. As long as the heat (voltage, battery charge) and nic level are good it's all good. I think that some of the flavors I use are what give me the throat hit and like you, I'm not crazy about overly strong throat hit.
