your atty might be dry? you might try adding a drop or so of ejuice to the bridge of the atty...some what primer it?

However, ive soaked attys in the past, and mine didnt work afterwards either...even when i primed them they only half azzed worked..
but u could always try to primer the bridge, maybe it will work for you? maybe youll have better luck than i did?

eta, i no longer soak my atty's..i just blow them out them out now, and let them sit bridge side down to clean out..

Sometimes it take more e-liquid than you think to get them going, especially if water was used to clean them. Add a few drops, take a few puffs... if not, add more. Worse case is you blow it all out and start over.

If you can, get EverClear to clean and don't use water afterward. It evaporates quickly. Just blow out before cleaning, blow out after soaking, shake them out like a thermometer until no more PGA drops come out, reprime well and vape away!

+1

Absolutely, Hellen. I've read these comments dozens of time where folks think they've killed an atty when cleaning it. I mean, how much different could soaking an atty vary? LOL The trick, if there is one, is re-starting the bone-dry atty or slightly water retaining atty. Your description above is perfect.

My feeling is that new attys are shipped with primer liquid, at least partially, because the manufacturers are building in a safety net of not sending out a completely dry unit that is apt to be burned out if not primed correctly.

Kellie,

they most likely are not dead. Sounds like they are dry.

Prime with 4 or 5 drops right on the bridge of the atty and keep using them. The vapor should come back. If it floods out the atty with the juice just take atty off and blow thru the mouthpiece end into a paper towel to get excess out and reprime and start again/ let us know how it goes..

I soaked my atty's in 151 for an hour then rinsed them in hot water and let them sit and dry for a day and a half. They heat up but no vapor and very little flavor. What did I do wrong? They are 510 mega atty's:(

When you use 151 there is no need for water and the 151 only needs to be blown out, not let to dry. Hopefully the 151 was clear and unflavored - best. And like Hellen mentioned sometimes you have to reprime the atty - put 2 or 3 drops on the atty bridge, start it up and then huff it a bit, like you're trying to keep fire on a pipe - short drags and puffs without inhaling. That should kick start it. The other thing is that if you cleaned the attys in the first place because of poor performance - the only time I clean atomizers - then they may be on their way out anyway. The only way to really tell is to get a multimeter and test them. The regular atomizers should run between 2.1 and 2.4 ohms - if they run a bit higher it's ok, but if they're above 3 and cleaning doesn't change that then, they're done.

Thank you for all the help. I think they were still wet. I primed and puffed for like 20 mins each and they work fine now. We don't have PGA here. I wish we did. I usually don't soak them but I was trying to get cinnamon flavor out of them.

jmho, but everybody here has good ideas..

i even learned something, so thank you everyone for the input

eta, im glad your atty's are working

Way to go, Kellie. =)

Odd as it sounds, I found that there is a *taste* to that water that hangs around in the freshly cleaned/rinsed atty. That's a good clue and sign that the atty needs more e-liquid to get back to normal.

I'm happy it worked out for you. Did you manage to get the cinnamon flavor out? That's a tough one. I experimented, for the sake of experimenting, by using peroxide for that and then rinsed it for a long time. It actually worked very well -- short term. Most users agree that cinnamon needs a designated atty.

I am one to keep a designated atty for my cinnamon, also 1 for mints
