Hi people! I've picked up a five-liquid sampler from UK-based site The Alchemists Cupboard Home Page, E-Liquids made in the UK and thought I'd share my thoughts!

They use a 50/50 PG/VG ratio, and the liquids are shipped fresh. I started tasting after around 10 days of steeping (although I had a cheeky taste of one straight away), and I was using a ProVari Mini (at 3.3 V) with Kangertech ProTank II with 1.8 ohm atomizer - so vaping at 6 W throughout.

They have loads of flavours but I picked up Lemon Meringue Pie, Ginger Snaps, Blackcurrant Mivvi, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie and Coconut Caramel with Hazelnut Honey in my order. So many of them (particularly the last one) sounded like flavour-porn I couldn't help but order. Five 10ml bottles cost around £20 (so ~$30 without shipping) - if you're interested in picking some up!

Ginger Snaps

Named after the biscuits (here in the UK they're Ginger Nuts), this e-liquid has a gentle hit of ginger and a vague sweetness underlying it which I imagine is intended to replicate the "biscuit" element. This was the biggest disappointment of the entire bunch, however - I found the subtlety of the flavour a little too much. The entire thing was a little bland, but it seems to do better at lower wattages. I pushed the voltage on each to see how they coped, and this one took on a burnt taste pretty quickly. I wouldn't say it was a bad e-liquid, but nothing to write home about.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie

This is one of my favourites of the bunch - probably because my sweet tooth is insatiable. You mainly get the peanut butter when you vape, but the undercurrent of chocolate really takes this liquid to the next level. How you go about replicating the "cookie" part is anybody's guess, but the Alchemist's Cupboard have done a pretty stellar job on this liquid overall. The sweetness is just right, and it's flavourful enough to keep you coming back for more! I vaped this all day long and wanted to fill up again before I'd done testing the others. It also handled the higher wattage test pretty well!

Coconut Caramel with Hazelnut Honey

Can you be too descriptive in an e-liquid name? Well, I kinda think they've over-reached with the name of this one a little. The main flavour I picked up was caramel, with hints of coconut. The hazelnut honey was lost on me (although I've never tried it, so maybe I wasn't sufficiently attuned), but overall this liquid is very enjoyable. The combination makes for a light sweetness, nothing overpowering but something you can happily puff away on. Also, the high wattage test didn't impact on this one too notably.

Blackcurrant Mivvi

Thiswas the big surprise of the bunch for me. I kinda ordered it to try one of the many flavours with "Mivvi" in the name (which is another thing which is lost on me - what the hell does it mean?), but it was extremely well-executed. The blackcurrant comes through really strong, perfectly capturing the essence of the fruit, to the point where I'd put money on anybody who knows the flavour picking it out in a blind vape-test. When I pushed it to around 6.8 W the flavour started to dwindle, but it really shined through at anything from 5-6 W. Overall, it's a great liquid hiding behind a name that's somewhere between boring and completely baffling.

Lemon Meringue Pie

This liquid is all kinds of awesome – it’s one of the most true e-liquids to the intended flavour I’ve ever vaped. My original thought was that the lemon would come through strong and the meringue would merely be an irrelevant detail incorporated to make it sound more appealing, but I was wrong – the meringue provides the character and leaves the lemon as a pleasant addition. This one was also delicious without steeping – and seemed to improve very little afterwards. It also doesn’t degrade much with higher wattages. Overall, this is the best of the bunch! Definitely going to be involved in a repeat purchase!

I hope you all enjoyed it! I've heard the Rhubarb Crumble and Custard is awesome - so I'll definitely be picking that up in my next order! Has anyone else tried these guys? I'd recommend them to anybody, but mainly UK vapers because of the ease and speed of shipping.
