Hey guys,
Just started dabbling in mixing my own juices. I was told that MBV gets all of their flavorings from Flavor West. I also noticed that the prices at Flavor west are way cheaper than TFA, though TFA is known for their quality flavorings. However, the price discrepancy is so huge that I'm wondering if TFA is more concentrated? I know it varies from flavor to flavor, but if anyone has experience on this please let me know. Planning on doing a large purchase from one of these vendors soon. Thanks in advance guys!

You might want to rethink a large order until you try and decide what flavors you like. Chances are you will not like all flavors from any one brand. You can purchase TFA from Wizard Labs for $1.49 for 8ml bottles. It's a good way to see what you like. I only have a few FW flavors so I can't give a comparison for you. Best of luck to you!

Someone close to the owner of MBV said they no longer purchase their flavors from FW.

Are those the only two companies in which your interested?

Not really, just trying to see why TFA is so much more expensive. I'm open to any flavor websites, but looking to get a bavarian cream, french vanilla, guava, kiwi, melon, a few berry flavors...

Electronic Cigarette, Clearomizer, USA e-Liquid, e-Cig Juice, DIY Flavors, Wholesale Nicotine, Empty Bottles for E-Liquid - ecigExpress

They sell FA, TFA (Signature), Capella, FW, some Inawera, Hangsen, FW, LA, & NF.

Purevapes has 3ml FA samples, and some others sell smaller samples to try out first (cheaper).

But if you're gonna get, say, a boatload of just TFA, then it's better to just order direct from perfumers apprentice.

Read some of the recipe threads here to get ideas of the favorite brands/flavors.

Make a list, order, wait.
Make another list, order, wait.

Some flavors cost more to buy and produce then others therefore you usually pay more for smaller sizes. This is to offset the cost of providing a flat price on sample sizes and vendors making less profit on certain flavors. Where as when buying in bulk just about any flavoring out there can be pretty cheap. And when the price is higher it's likely stronger which means you use less and the costs balance out.

TFA is some of the cheapest flavor you can get and probably the easiest to mix with. There is no cheaper place to buy it than One Stop DIY (with free shipping over $75 and 10 off with ECF coupon code) who in fact sells 120ml or 4oz for $9-18 depending on the flavor. They also have smaller or bigger sizes but often it's cheaper to get small size bottles at the same place you get your nic to save on combined shipping. This is why so many buy from Wizard Labs as once you buy the nic and add a few other things including flavoring you can get free shipping. People say Perfumers Apprentice is cheaper but that's not always true once discount codes and free shipping are taken into consideration.

Great advise. Each flavor is drastically different between manufactures. Test small samples. Capella is good as well. Flavor Express, Tobacco Express for Chinese flavors.

I've tried about 20 TFA/TPA flavors, and they have all been perfumey. I bought without sampling and I haven't touched them since. They have the flavor, but I can't bare the after taste. Can't mix with them either.

My favs are always from Lorann and Capellas. Straight up flavor, but they're not as concentrated. Still wanting to try Hangsen and Flavorart.

Seedmans is ok. A lot of those flavorings are weak imo, but they taste good.

Also, once you DO know what you like, you can save a little.
My favorite all-day vape uses a pretty heavy percentage of a TFA flavor.
I go through quite a bit, but if I want to, I can buy - direct from TFA, at $21 for 16 OUNCES.
That's 473 ml. Even for ME that's gonna be a year's worth...:D

Really though - that's under .05/ml...
And I actually only ordered a 4 oz so far - but next time...

Over Flavoring

I'd go with that as well.

My experience in using TFA and FW:

I picked up some FW flavors to replicate some juices friends enjoy. I have to use FW at a higher percentage than I do with TFA to get the same desired flavor profile. TFA extracts mixed as a single flavor can range from 5%-10%. I've started mixing my FW at 15%.
