I picked up a bottle of TPA's Vanilla Bean Ice Cream a few days ago, received it today in the mail so I decided to crack it open and see what it smelled like (never used it before). To me, it smells just like Capella's Vanilla Custard. Has anyone who's used this flavor and also Capella's Vanilla Custard noticed this?

I've not vaped it yet as I have others to test first, though the aroma is nearly identical. Hopefully I'll get around to testing it out tonight, but in the mean time, I thought I'd ask others who use them both, or have used them both, if they get the same.

I definitely don't get vanilla bean or an ice cream from the aroma, so I'm also looking to hear more about what to expect.

TFA's website says the vanilla bean ice cream is the exact same recipe as their own vanilla custard, minus one of the two ingredients they use for the custard note, so I suspect it will smell similar. You will likely taste at least some difference though.

I didn't notice that bit of information when ordering, but there's quite a difference between the vanilla bean ice cream and their custard. I wouldn't think one slight change would make that big a difference, but it appears it does. I just tried a little at 5% and it's not really quite as strong as it smells, so perhaps this will be a 10% mix.

I'm still not getting much vanilla bean from it. If anything it's more creamy than anything, almost bordering a slight cake-like flavor, at least at 5%. Perhaps a good one to mix with some homemade vanilla bean extract to see if we can pull things together a bit.
