Tesla WYE 85W (Teslacigs)

I just got delivered this affordable, fully featured mod yesterday, and since I couldn't find much about it before I ordered, I'll leave a short 'review', or rather just what I think of it. To put it in perspective, I currently own two Pico 75 W (running Arctic Fox) and a HT inbox squonk mod with the dna 75W chip.
I've read that another WYE-series mod from Tesla had had some quality problems, and that might be the reason that this one isn't very popular, even though it's very reasonably priced and fully featured. Fortunately I had found a French-language forum where the WYE 85 is much more popular than here, and over dozens of pages, there was only one post with a hardware problem, so I'm not particularly worried about the quality. And even though it's certainly one of the lightest mods on the market, it feels sturdy and well made.
I bought this one because I wanted something like the Pico 75W, but a little different, and I'm not disappointed, it works just fine. One thing they did really well is how they used the screen and how everything is accessible right at the first level of the menu, i.e. you don't have to go levels deep to change a setting. I won't able able to configure it on the computer, but thanks to this, it won't be necessary either - the perfect mod for travelling.
On the picture you can see that it's just a bit taller than the Pico, but it's quite a bit lighter.

Congrats and glad you like it, could never wrap my head around it but I like their steampunk stuff .I also like their ability to cater to many and their board. Have fun!

Lol...I had to look up what 'Steampunk' means (now I know).

About the WYE 85W, yes, I like it so much that I had to order a second one. I already prefer it to my Pico 75. The display is better and shows more information, it feels better in my hand, the fire button has a better feeling to it, and it's more likely to stay upright in a deep pocket.

Yeah I bet the Wye would make a good pocket mod. For a while I was calling it the "Why??" only I decided that was mean. I really love Teslacigs in general.

For some reason I have the impression that it didn’t sell very well, compared to the Pico for example, to which it is a direct competitor. It’s a pity, because as far as I can tell, after 2 days of use, it’s as least as good.

Yes, but a type of plastic that I like: it’s a thick kind of soft plastic that feels a little ‘rubbery’, and it doesn’t sound hollow when you tap on it. It feels good holding it in your hand and it’s not slippery. I hate the cheapo plastic, I wouldn’t like if they had used that...

I ended up with more teslacigs models than any other, somehow. Not intentionally, just sort of happened. They're nice mods, no complaints so far. Ordered a TeslaPunk 86W the other day. External battery regulated stick mods are probably the last few things I'm going to buy if the FDA regs really happen.

I loved that thing. So pretty and great handfeel. I destroyed mine with a catastrophic drop (this was before I put area rugs on my tile.

I was still surprised, I mean, Tesla stuff is usually BOMB proof. I disassembled that thing and got the battery out SO fast, I mean I would have warrantied it but it looked like someone had driven over it with at truck.

I still want a replacement but I just don't know....

They all look like they were designed (and constructed) by kindergarteners, if you ask me. But that's the beauty of Teslacigs, think you it glorious looking or VILE looking it is for sure IN YO FACE.

And, they all vape great, another lovely thing about Teslacigs.

My main issue was the Punk I sure wish I had read real world reviews, I did not expect to have it designed so it would cut my hands to smithereens. I sold it to some dude whom I sincerely hoped had LARGE callused hands but like, I never heard from him again.

I hope he did not bleed to death. That thing was monstrous.

A Wye 85W landed on my doorstep yesterday. Must say I like it a lot. It's just slightly bigger than a Colossal and despite the plastic materials it doesn't feel at all cheap. It's actually a pretty rugged build and works great in Power mode. Like the OP I'm liking it more than the Pico. Battery life probably not as good as the Colossal, maybe the same as the Pico.

The exterior has a kind of soft touch rubbery feel which is kinda hard to stop just caressing it. Feels great.
