Tasty Vapor's Kretek Review

I just received my order for the Kretek. I took new RN4072 atomizer which I blew out the primer and cleaned in vodka the night before and put in on my Protege(with new upgraded switch) with a freshly charged battery OMG so good!! I can't stop vaping this. I ordered it with 20% VG and 12 mg nic (good thing because I am chain vaping this right now) and asked him in the comments to make it strong flavor like Xtras/Blacks. After vaping this for the first time, I started a chat session with Geoff congratulating him on getting Kretek that actually tastes like Kretek in a vapable form.

Scale: 1 worst -> 10 best

Vapor Production: 9 - Even at only 20% VG and using a 3.7v device I get tons of vapor

Taste: 10 - Outstanding!! This is the best Kretek/clove e-liquid I have ever tasted. I asked him to make it strong and he did! I can taste the clove and his great tobacco base along with some other spices which are blended so well I can't identify specifically which ones they are. Even with my strong flavor request, it doesn't taste over the top strong. I seriously can chain vape this and it not becoming irritating after awhile like with another clove-like liquid I thought was the best until getting Geoff's. It does numb your mouth a little bit. I am sure if you requested it in the order comments to have a more pronounced numbing sensation, Geoff could do it. This does NOT have that horrible excess anise taste at all! It does leave a very pleasant Kretek after-taste in your mouth.

Throat Hit: 4 - I ordered 12 mg nic so I didn't expect it to have a strong throat hit. At 12 mg, you can chain vape it (because it’s SO good) and not overdose on nicotine.

Overall, if you are a Kretek lover you will be in heaven with Geoff's magnificent creation. For $15 it’s a steal! I am going to order a doubler soon and hope it tastes as good as his 1 oz premixed.

This is my 1st e-liquid review so I hope I covered everything. I didn't rate the smell of the liquid because I have had liquids that have smelled great in the bottle only to end up tasting very weak/bad when vaped.

I totally agree..he has it down pat. sometimes i drip a lil tob in the atty to give it that "burning clove cig taste"...but out of all the "clove flavors" out there, Geoff has the BEST to say the least

closest thing to a djarm you can get w/out actually smoking one!

I got my Kertek today. WOW, what a pleasant vape! I've had clove cigarettes before, and this one reproduces it almost to a tee.

Good vapor and throat hit, powerful flavor (up to par with atomic cinnocide). I'd say this may be the next "best seller"

I'll be reviewing it this weekend in a video, along with a new 808 I got from the Vapors club auction. This stuff is GOOD!

The kretek is hands down the best clove I've tried. And since I started vaping a month ago, I've ordered 4 others before this. I'm not sure what Geoff does but everything I've gotten from him as been great.

To those who also have this flavor: Does yours have a STRONG cinnamon flavor? I just wonder if I got an odd mix, there is definitely clove present in it, but it is nearly buried by a very potent cinnamon. I enjoy it, but wonder if there was a mix up in the mixing.

Some will taste some components more than others, but we're pretty consistent with our mixes. Thing is, we all have differing palettes.

This may be the good old "Let It Sit" scenario. Give it a week, it'll blend in with the other flavors better.

@ Raltenbach Geoff is right, I love the kretek as it came but since Saturday when I got it I've noticed it almost mellowing out a bit and everything coming together more where no one flavor overpowers the other. My mojito was the same way, originally seemed too minty and a real strong lime, today its perfect. Kretek has become my all day now that it's mingled together more so I'd say the cinnamon just needs a little time to play nicely with everyone else in the bottle.

Geoff, you are correct, we all taste differently. That said, the bottle I have has been hard to put down. The warming sensation from the cinnamon is so very nice, definitely a necessary element to recreate the clove smoking experience. Pretty cool that the liquid tastes kinda-sorta like a clove, but the experience is spot on. The sweetness upon the initial inhale is there, the warming in the chest and throat is there, the lingering clove aftertaste is there. If the cinnamon flavor mellows, but keeps its warming properties, I will be ordering vats of the stuff.

I just got mine today along with some Atomic. I have been swapping back and forth since I got home from work. There is a slight similarity between the two flavors, you can kind of smell and taste it. But the flavors really part in totally different directions. The kretek puts you in a djarum like heaven. I only used to smoke them during winters for some reason or a hot summer night. This is something I can wind down with after work, and weekends. It is really that good. But my all day vape is Geoffs tobacco....hands down.

I was really on the fence about ordering Kretek, but I figured I already wanted AC, and it was the FOTW...

WOW! I've been going back and forth between the two and man is it a perfect combo. Great throat hit, great vapor, and the taste is perfect. Two drops Kretek to one drop AC is definitely my new all day vape. I'll admit there are some TV flavors from my first order I'm hoping will get better with time (cough cough, I'm looking at you Rootbeer Float), but I'm in love with these two from day one.

AMAZING job on this one, Tasty Vapor crew! absolutely worth the wait... now i have to order some for reals... and +1 to what raltenbach said--it really comes close to the experience of cloves, dry and sweet at the same time, with the sweetness very subtle on the inhale, and then all the spicy complexity... seriously, fantastic vape.

there's officially now not a thing i miss about smoking. thank you!

I don't know if I feel bad or not that some of you have to wait for this stuff to blend together on its own, but I have to add, that you guys get an experience that people who are junked out on the Chinese stuff don't know...Fresh and hand mixed stuff.

You'd be AMAZED at how much we love doing what we do for you guys. You're worth it. I was a 27 year smoker, now vaping almost a year and hell, I love my own products too. I'm vaping on a liquid for a bit, coming back to it a week later and being BLOWN away!

Geoff, I'm pretty sure you've developed a loyal following of folks that realize just how good your juice is. Let it sit a week and enjoy it even more? Well what's so bad about that? If you think about it, that chinese bottle has sat for well longer by the time you get it and still has nowhere near the flavor. And as an aside, those fruit flavors you did for me were great on day one already.
