I got a tank to go along with my new vtube, and I watched instructional videos on youtube about filling/using tanks. So, first, as a test, I just soaked the atomizer inside and used it w/ my vtube; It worked well, but very airy... Then when I picked out the lil o-ring it comes with, a wire pulled out of the atomizer half-way. :S Can I save my tank? Can I fit that wire end back into the filling somehow without danger?? Help!
Also, are all tanks airy? I was thinking maybe it was the brand, Apollo, but I dunno. On one of the videos I watched, the dude put a "collar" on to tighten the draw, but I don't know where to find one of those. Google it, I guess?
In any case, all is useless for the time being if I can't fix my tank. :(

Here are the different delivery systems:

atomizer/ atty- an element on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped

cartridge/ cart- a container with sponge (filled with juice) that is used with the atty- juice drips on to atty from cart and is vaporized

cartomizer/ carto- metal tube with stuffing and element.

carto+tank- a carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates carto by way of hole in carto.

Clearomizer- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing. The wicks and element can be easily replaced cheaply.

It's an atty with a tank, I think. The center is metal, so that's an atomizer, right? That's what they called it on the video. :S Pardon my ignorance.

The collars are really good for adjusting air flow. Some sites call them cones. The one you want is shaped like a ring and it's about 0.5" wide.

I'm using a cartomizer inside a tank. They told me to fill the tank, pop the lid on and suck through the drip tip for a minute without running the battery. You're not supposed to drip any juice inside the silver tube. I hope you can get more cartos and a collar.

I'm using the Smoktech Dual Coil Tank V2 with a collar on an ego Twist battery and liking it a lot.

OK Thx soooo much for the clarification! I have a carto + tank. Not sure how to insert links on BBs, so I'm just gonna copy/paste...

If you prefer using an Atomizer like myself over any type filler type carto,, you may want to check out the Reactor tank over at NHaler, here = The Reactor Tank and Accessories The newest one with the single coil Atty works very well.

Wow! Looks effin' awesome! Um... Will you buy me one? :) haha Bookmarked it. Thx!

Yeah, if I can fix this tank, or get a replacement, I think I'm definitely going with a collar. The video I watched on filling a tank said to drip about 5 drops into the carto in the middle.... but just because someone's on youtube doesn't mean they know everything, right? :)

Usually the draw is airy because there's not enough juice in the carto or there's too many holes in the cartos. I punch one 2.5 mm hole in my cartos- vaping 70/ 30 PG/ VG juice. I know you researched about filling cartos but here's the one I highly recommend. Realize your carto has a tank flange on one end so you have to fill from the mouth end of cartos.
First the video about airy draw. Watch at 3:52

Yes, Thx, this is one of the videos I watched... Everything is to a T with this video and my tank. I tried screwing it in tighter and that has helped a lot with the airy problem, but not completely. That's the vtube I got, too.... only I didn't get the SS one. Maybe I'll watch the video a third time, see if I missed anything. Thx so much!

That's the element and can carefully be pushed back in but it's 50/ 50 as to whether it will work. Parts of a carto:
metal tank
filler
airway in the center of filler
element in the airway.

So, can anyone tell me what to do about the wire sticking straight up out of the filling in the carto of the tank? Can I safely poke it back in? :S

Yeah, I watched again and noted the attachment... But my vtube is a lil different cuz it's not the SS model. It doesn't have that built-in ego adapter... However... I did purchase it separately. Not that it matters. :p Anyway, so I'm not sure if the part he uses would fit on my vtube. :/
But I still have an issue with that wire stickin' out!

So the wire/element is supposed to be in the airway?? Not the filling?
