About to order from ecig express again, so I thought to ask...

Since every flavor company there is has a coconut flavor, which is closest to a candy/sweetened baker's type coconut as a stand alone??

I also have a strawberry 'goop' problem, and it appears from my reading that I'm not alone...a couple of vendor made strawberry juices I've had turn into a tank of syrup after just a couple of ml's, and now my own strawberry mixes are doing the same! I'm going up to 80% PG for a thinner juice and add a touch of saline, but was wondering , is this a specific flavoring supplier thing, or do a lot of the strawberries do this? I have various CAP and TPA strawberry flavors...

Thanks everyone in advance...

Since you're going to ECX anyway, I'd suggest the Inawera Strawberry and Wild Strawberry and mix them alone and/or together. Very clean, definitely does not turn to goop. Their coconut isn't what I'd call sweet, more realistic. I know the kind of coconut you're looking for, but I haven't found it. They all just taste a little off to me.

I have quite a bunch of coconuts (pardon the expression!!) But not THAT coconut...my favorite premixed juice vendor has a nice one so I know a sweet one can be done...There's just so many, everyone has a favorite, but they don't say if it's coconut milk or sweeter than that.

I have tpa/signature coconut candy, but I get the "waxy" effect from it at 5%.
I've never tried Inawera, I will go for a strawberry from them now that they're easier to aquire..Thanks for the tip!

As a single flavor, TPA's Coconut Candy is sweetest to me. But I also get a musty aftertaste with it that ruins it. If it's mixed with enough other flavors, it adds a good, sweet coconut flavor. I use it in candy vapes. Also as a single flavor, FlavourArt's coconut is the most true-tasting coconut I've tried. It isn't sweet enough for my preference, so I add Meringue (adds mostly sweetness) or Custard (adds creaminess, sweetness, bit of toasty flavor) or Caramel for that. It's also great with TFA's Brown Sugar Extra, which adds lots of sweetness. I played with coconut forever to get results I finally like. All my early attempts were disappointing.

Let us know if you try it OK? :) I won't have time to mix anything until next week.

Alright, you asked for it, now you have to read it.:) Quest for sweet coconut:

2% FA Coconut and 2% FA Marshmallow: Exceptionally creamy, very true coconut flavor, but not very sweet. I'm such a FA fan, I figured I owed it a try.

2% FA Coconut and 2% TFA Coconut Candy: Now this really brings out the best of both flavors. I got sweetness from the TFA and the authentic coconut flavor from the FA. The weird Coconut Candy aftertaste was not present, and the creaminess of FA Coconut was reduced, so it's a good start. Still not very sweet, though - and overwhelming coconut flavor.

2% FA Coconut, 2% TFA Coconut Candy, 2% FA Marshmallow: Wrecked it. Sorry FA, get your Marshmallow outta my coconut.

2% FA Coconut, 2% TFA Coconut Candy, 2% TFA Marshmallow: Okay now, here we go. First of all, the vapor production is voluuuuminous here. Taste is like cracking open an actual coconut and gnawing on the flesh. This would be a great addition to bakery flavors! I'm keeping it for mixes, yeah! But it's only the natural sweetness of coconut, let's go sweeter.

2% FA Coconut, 2% TFA Coconut Candy, 2% TFA Marshmallow, 2% TFA Brown Sugar Extra: Again with the hilarious vapor production, lol. This was sweeter, but still too raw.

2% FA Coconut, 2% TFA Coconut Candy, 2% TFA TOASTED Marshmallow: Toasted adds a great taste, defintely better than plain Marshmallow. It tastes less "raw" now. But it definitely lost something when I left out Brown Sugar....so:

***My winner is:
1% FA Coconut, 2-3% TFA Coconut Candy, 2% TFA TOASTED Marshmallow, 2% TFA Brown Sugar Extra: Personally I prefer half the flavoring, but I think "most" vapers will prefer it as written with about 8% total. I went back and forth with the two coconut flavors. Gotta keep enough FA to prevent the TFA aftertaste, and 3% Coconut Candy is riiiiight on that border. I think the Brown Sugar sweetens coconut best, but Toasted Marshmallow adds something special, so I kept both. Any more brown sugar or marshmallow will begin to make the coconut fade, so I stopped here, pretty satisfied.

PS - I have tried and rejected sweeteners in coconut before. Sweet flavorings taste better and keep the coils cleaner.

Hope this is useful to someone, because now I have a lot of coconut to vape!

By the time I finish vaping all this, I may not like coconut any more either, lol, kidding. If you don't much like coconut, just make a small amount of the winning version. If you still don't like it, mix with pineapple, lime, and a touch FA Rum for a good Pina Colada. that's always good.

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to post this! Actually, I had considered marshmallow(TPA), and I have TPA brown sugar (not the extra, tho I have it) steeping to try as an add-in at about 12%. I was just wondering which coconut to start with...I have CAP, loranns, both from TPA, and the vaping zone super concentrate...can ya tell I have a craving??? I'll add the FA on to my order, what the heck I'll collect them ALL! Probably be good in my coffee if nothing else!!

Capella's Sweet Strawberry did that to me. I still have the bottle, mixed about 60/40 PG/VG, 10% flavoring, from October. It's like bright yellow sludge now, but it was pale and thin when I mixed it. I occasionally use a couple drops of this bottle in other recipes, but I wouldn't try to vape it without thinning. 10% was probably too much anyway, and if I wanted to vape it plain, I'd add water to thin it since I'm no longer using much PG.

FlavourArt's Strawberry hasn't done that to me, likely because it takes only 3%-ish flavoring.

BTW, I use Capella's for fake candy-strawberry flavor in candy recipes, FlavourArt for fresh berry flavor. They're very different flavors.

I have tried with the CAP strawberry and it's been thickening, but so many people recommend the flavor...I did get the same effect from the TPA ripe strawberry as well tho. Since the Mt. Baker strawberry shortcake juice thickens I avoided FW since they're supposedly using FW flavorings... I do now have FA on order. Oh boy the collection of strawberry and coconut grows, hubby must think I'm nuts!! (he's been buying fishing stuff tho, so we're kinda even...:glug: )
