It's a part of national suicide prevention month. That foundation has annual walks to raise money in most major cities. I go to the one here each year. This year it's being held on 10/20. Nice to see those folks doing the stream. It must be a tough stream for Jai this year.

My Mother starved herself to death not that long ago.Living in another state I didn't know it was happening until nothing could be done.

Folks keep tabs on those you love. Even senior citizens.

They're raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Because many of the most well known vape reviewers have decided to hold a 12 hour live marathon to support the cause.The cause is not vape related, but a topic vapers and vape reviewers care about. .

They could theoretically be related. Nicotine is an anti-anxiety drug. People with depression often want to kill themselves but don’t have the energy. I’m not sure what a Niccy fitting depressed person does. It’s possible it could be quite bad.

Post #3 stopped me in my tracks. I cannot fathom the pain. Sending the biggest hug I can to anyone who has had to deal with that kind of trauma.

when i was a teenager and ran out of cigarettes i'd SH to deal

wish i had let friends convince me to vape instead back then

Oh wow sorry to hear my friend. I lived in the streets and was addicted to drugs for years. My mom attempted suicide when I was younger and once when I was older. I always felt the need to look out for her but never really could help her until she could help herself. I finally got clean and met a wonderful woman but she kept relapsing on alcohol and eventually I had enough it was too much. Two hours later after telling her it’s over she jumped off a bridge. Our neighbors said she seemed happy getting on her bike and saying good afternoon when she knew she was riding the long trek up to the mountain to kill herself. I hated any mention of suicide because of what my mom put me through popping pills and stuff. I didn’t see it coming with my girlfriend. But seeing the cliff she jumped off I knew she wanted to die it was no hope. Some take pills or cut themselves across their wrists as a cry for help . This wasn’t that.

Never been with a woman since and it’s been almost a year and a half. Probably won’t for a long time. I moved back in with mom who’s doing well and we help each other . Haven’t relapsed on drugs at all. I’d rather be free than in jail or on the streets dying a slow death myself.
