Steeping usually gets rid of it, but sometimes it takes months and months! Often, the cause of the floral taste is too strong of a flavor concentration, particularly in fruit flavored liquids. I just ordered a big bottle of unflavored liquid in my usual nic mg and pg/vg blend to tone down some juices I have that just aren't losing that "perfumy" taste and smell even after several months of steeping.

Will steeping long enough get rid of that floral taste or do some flavors just have it?

It kind of depends on what flavoring it is.. I have found that if it is very strong when I get the juice that almost always never changes much. Sometimes it gets worse rather the better letting it steep. I hate that flavoring that tastes like a perfume... It just ruins everything it touches. The smallest bit of it can taint an entire bottle of juice....
