So I was kind of commissioned to make this after a classmate of mine saw my dna-hammer mod. He doesn't vape, he doesn't even smoke! He wanted something to go with his steampunk costume (he's into cosplay). The fact that it puts out steam is a bonus to him :D I'll be giving him some zero-nic VG to use in it. I really like the look of brass and wood so I have plans for a few more mods like this. I need one for myself right! It works with a mechanical switch and 18350 like most e-pipes. The brass is shiny right now but I wonder what it would look like with a nice aged patina look... Well thanks for looking, enjoy.

What would something like that cost?

Well if you have the tools and some skill, the materials to make it are relatively low cost. I'm not trying to sell them on here because I'm not a registered vender with the forum and I don't want to get into trouble :D Maybe some time in the future I will register and sell them but I literally make these at my kitchen table and I have to keep all my tools in a closet (yup there is a drill press in there) if I had a shop to work out of them yeah. I've looked and it seems that standard e-pipes sell for around $70-$100. These are a little more artsy and I think they would sell for more.

Yes I get the square tube at a hobby shop in my area. I make the switches similar to how I think most e-pipe bowl switches are made. A brass or steel piece with a spring attached like below. When pushed down it makes contact with the side plates and completes the circuit so its basically a homemade mechanical switch.

Your lovin bothering me? :D Just kidding. I see your in my area. You can get brass tubing at High Fly Hobbies on Orange Ave, or the Ace Hardware on Ridgewoood Ave. Not all Ace stores carry the brass stock but the hobby shop has a good selection. The metal piece show above is a closet door finger pull. You can sometimes find them with the door hardware at home depot or maybe Ace. Also OnlineMetals.com has a good selection of brass.

Thanks, they vaped pretty good with the 1.5 novas before I gave them up to the person that asked me to make them. I have since made a new one in a little different style it works really good with the protank. You can see it here.

I have also been using it with an IGO-L and hemp wick to get lower ohm coils going on it and they are great for dripping. Its like packing a bowl (on the wrong end)
I am currently waiting on some parts for a 5v regulated one and see how that goes.
