Welcome , but it might , if it has alot of VG , in it . Use a 100% PG . and either hold it in , for a few seconds , or exhale down the front of your shirt . You will probably get away with it . But if you do get caught , the resulting fine , may be so large , you'll wish you hadn't . Good Luck , either way .

Personally I wouldn't take the risk. I will admit that I have stealth vaped recently on a plane, but it was in my seat in a half full flight and nobody else was in the row I sat in and only took a couple of hits when we were close to landing. On my trip back, it was a packed flight and I was able to deal with not having one until after we landed.

Just got back from Argentina and that flight was 8ish hours and I just couldnt take it, so heres what I did.

Use your blanket and blow down into it. If you do this right no one will see of smell anything.

If in the bathroom just located the smoke detector and blow the opposite direction.

I did on a flight to London from Miami. When most were asleep, pulled my blanket up, curled over toward the window as if I was resting my head on the side, stealth vaped, and blew it under the blanket. The blue LED from my ego lit up pretty bright and I was worried someone would see it. The thing is, if you look like you are doing something sketchy, and someone sees you, you might get caught and have a hefty price to pay. IMO I will never do it again and its not worth the risk.

I will add that given security issues in general, if I saw someone under a blanket with something that could possibly be smoke, I would assume the worst and dive on the person. I'd likely be wrong (99.5 percent) but, I'll happily suffer any penalties legal or civil as a result. Didn't we already go through someone setting their undies on fire and same with shoes? Hence the increased vigilance of fellow passengers in my opinion (which is sad but reality). Just my two cents. I don't own one yet, but have watched Youtube videos and it sure looks like it could be smoke.

Get some low vapor ejuice, a carto and an eGo 350 mAh battery. You can palm the whole setup and prop your thumb against the carto which looks like you're biting your thumbnail. Either hold the vapor a couple of seconds longer than normal or blow it down your shirt front. I wouldn't vape in the plane's lavatory because they use varying detection techniques.

thanks for all the responses. On reflection, think I'll go with a pharmacy-bought NRT. Not worth the risk, is it?

Though it's a bit annoying - one (only one, mind) of the reasons i switched to vaping was to make airports/flights/flying more bearable. Plus I don't really see the difference between an e-cig and nicotine inhalator bought from a pharmacy (except the pharmaceutical companies make money out of the latter... but now i'm straying into politics!).

Cheers folks, safe vaping!

I've been vaping on flights for three years. It is always best to ask the lead flight attendant if it is ok to vap during the flight. Some don't allow it but many do. In those that do allow it, usually they will ask you to go to the back of the plane.
A few have told me it was ok as long as no one complained. The old saying that it's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask permission doesn't hold true in this case. It's simple "Just Ask". BTW I have met several flight attendants that vape.

I had a quick vape in the toilet on plane recently (British Airways Airbus) and it was fine. I just held it in longer so there was hardly any vapour produced.

Going through security I had to put my refill bottles in a clear plastic bag, but I had a full clearo on my battery in pocket of jacket that was scanned through, and the girl took it out and asked me what it was, but then said its fine and let me through, she never mentioned that I wasn't allowed to use it anywhere in the airport or on the plane. Also the signs in the toilet tell you that you can be fined for smoking, there is no mention of anything else.
