Hi! I used to get my 18mg 50/50 butterscotch vape juice from Mt Baker. It looks like they're out of business. Are there any shops that have a similar product that will ship to NJ?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, this will just get worse. Better find a local vape shop that has something you can live with or buy a bunch of nicotine base and learn to make your own. Good luck.

Sorry, can't help you out much in the juice dept., but I just wanted to comment that I lived in Southern New Jersey for a couple years. It was quite a while ago, I completed the 7th and 8th grade at Indian Mills. I lived in the Vincentown area.

None of their juices is available in 18 mg. It seems like 6 mg is the highest anyone goes now.

Unfortunately it seems that most places that sell juice made with freebase only sell premium brand juices which usually seem to com in low MG and if you want high MG you have to buy eliquid made with nic salts instead of freebase. Same goes for 50/50, mostly nic salts.

Juice companies like MBV aren't as common as they used to be. Heartlandvapes make their own juice sin house and I think they ship to NJ, but they don't make a butterscotch.

ECBlendflavors.com is another one that makes juices in house and they do have a few different butterscotch juice, but unfortunately they only ship juice in 0mg to NJ.

WOW! That was a complete waste of my time. None of their juices is available in 18 mg. It seems like 6 mg is the highest anyone goes now. ...???

Sorry, unknown the laws in NJ. I also don't have the zip code to check on the web sites. If flavors are banned, you might have to make a trip.

However, to your 18mg complaint, freebase liquids on sale, the highest I have seen are 12 mg. You could study the DIY thread, or find another flavor (sometimes, cereals are close to butterscotch, check the candy section) to vape. Again, you will probably not find 18mg anywhere. Luckily, I was smoking 7 or less a day when stopped, so 3 and 6 mg do me quite well.

Better to make you own. I used a lot of MBV Butterscotch and it is not hard to replicate. Almost any butterscotch will work, add sweetener to your liking.
Iirc, MBV was heavy into the FW flavorings. @Letitia was on the right track with her suggestions.

I'm in Marlton. Were you near the Evergreen Dairy Bar?

Where can I go to learn how to make my own?

As a general task, DIY is not hard to do, per se. Where it becomes more difficult is trying to make recipes with multiple flavors (complex flavor profiles) because you have to use the right percentage or each flavor in the recipe. But ECF and other sites have recipes that you can try as a starting point. Also, some flavors and flavor profiles will require what is misnamed "steeping", which simply means just letting the juice sit for days or weeks before it tastes as it should taste, shaking it from time to time.

For me, DIY is super easy because I am satisfied with 1-flavor recipes an dnone of my flavors need steeping. But for newbies that are only only satisfied with complex flavors, it will take time. However, the way things are and the way things are going, we have limited options as vapers, unless you are satisfied with vaping tobacco flavors on a cigalike (because that is where things seem to be heading this far).

Another thinig that turns people off to DIY is not being able to 100% replicate a premium juice they have been vaping for a while. Some people aren't satisfied with a juice that kinda taste like their favorite juice, they have to have it 100%. But that can be hard to do because no one knows the exact ingredients used (meaning, exact flavor manufacture as well as what additives are used, if any). A good example of this is the last few pages of this thread where folks are trying to replicate Boba's Bounty. Looks like they are on track to concocting a recipe that is close, but they may never get it 100$% right.

But again, we as vapers don't have the luxury to be picky anymore, as you have experienced first hand living in the state of NJ.

One thing you can do if if you are new to DIY and you need complex flavor profiles to be satisfied, is to use one-shots. One-shots are flavor concentrates that contain the more than one flavor (and maybe certain additives) already mixed into one convenient concentrate. So essentially all you have to do is figure out what percentage of that concentrate you like best for your taste. It's like mixing a one flavor recipe, you just have to figure out the percentage you like. So if you like to vape, say, a Strawberry Banana Cream Pie juice, if you can find a one-shot for that then you can just try using that one shot instead of trying to figure out all the flavor concentrates you need and what percentages of each flavor will work to make something that tastes good to you.

Once you're comfortable with making juice with one-shots, then you can start making recipes on your own.

Now making butterscotch might be easy if you find a butterscotch flavor that suits you. Just keep in mind that these juice companies will call a juice, say, "Butterscotch", but that juice may actually contain other flavors that make it taste the way it tastes. This is very common in the food industry. But my point is, realize that you may never replicate that MVB butterscotch juice 100 % by using just butterscotch flavoring, even if you happen to use the same brand of flavoring they used. But with something like butterscotch, you should get pretty damn close.

Great info. Since I am used to YouTube, can open in you tube, see other videos, and other channels. Since I am new again to vaping, and have found some 100ml Vapetasia bottles I like, that will do for now. (Also, one SUA). I don't know yet if I will continue with nic or slowly transfer to 0 mg, then 0 flavor, and finally break off vaping.

You still have the option of a road trip (I think), but you would need to stock up. UncleJunkie is an avid vaper, probably for life. You don't have to decide everything right now, and nothing needs to be perfect. But getting some flavored juice asap will definitely get the ball rolling.
