Hi and thank you for adding me on this forum.I just get this al85 kit,so far so good, but I want to make some upgrades and my first thing is to get another tank, like TFV8 Baby Beast. It is ok this upgrade or should I look for another one? Also, what battery you recommend for this kit al85?Right now I have Samsung 18650-30Q.Another question is what liquid you use(PG,VG %)
Sorry for newbee question, but this is my first time when I use this e-vapes.

The Al85 comes with the Baby Beast tank. While I don't use the Baby Beast I do use the somewhat larger juice capacity Big Baby Beast, they use the same coils. I am quite happy with them myself, have 5 BBB attys so far. Be aware different coils vape differently AND with your single battery AL85 you won't want to vape much above 50w. I=P/V or P=I*V, ohms don't matter with regulated mod. 30Q a 20A battery so 20A*3V (approx Smok cutoff v)= 60W less 10% mod pcb inefficiency = 54W safe vaping range.

The Baby and Big Baby Beasts are aptly named. Those are very, very good performers but they are for direct to lung inhalation. The Baby Beast gets very warm over 55 watts. Some people don't mind that (some even like it!) but I like it cooler. YMMV.

The 30Q Samsung you have is fine for that mod. I use a BBB on top of mine. Power/wattage settings are dependent on the coil you use. I like the Q2 0.4 ohm coil that fits it and runs fine for me at 40W. Start low and work the wattage up until you reach your "sweet spot" and you're set.

All of my juices are DIY, and I vape 70VG/30PG 6 mg nic for a typical mix.

Right now I use the same coil Q2 0.4ohm and the same wattage and it runs perfect.Yesterday I tried another flavor(triple mint 70/30)and on the same wattage I get that burn taste, that means the flavor play a major role.First,I thought that my coil is damage and put back the first flavor(Blueberry 50/50) and now all is ok.

Only thought there is the 50/50 is thinner than 70/30 juice you tried. You might need to be sure and prime the coil well then slowly work your way up so you're sure the cotton is fully saturated. It will be a bit faster with the 50/50 juice, but the 70/30 will wick just fine with a little break in time.

Hi and welcome. The BBB and the 30Q are good choices in that mod. Just don't run it over 60 watts and there will be no problems. If you want more wattage, you'll need a better battery.

Your observation regarding flavors and power is well taken. Some tolerate high watts better than others. You've got a good coil, so start low and work up to where the flavor is best.

I have also found different juices to perform differently in the same coil. It's not usually a HUGE variance, but enough to make a difference at times. The only thing I can think of is variables in the flavorings since I DIY and use the same nic base and VG in every mix. If I add in some older storebought juice from time to time, I also find variances. They seem to either vaporize easier, producing too much cloud for me, or can taste off. Congrats on figuring it out. It's good to "prime" a flavor IMO, just like one might a coil, to find where you are most enjoying the vape/flavor output. :)

IF you want just a new tank don't get the baby beast. I have the big baby with the rba section and tbh the coil prices aren't worth the money (they also tend to not last very long imo), sure the rba is nice but even i don't use it all day since it chucks too much vapor for my taste (great for those craving moments though).

If you'd like to just buy a new tank i'd suggest the Freemax Fat Scylla Sv , it may be a hassle to find it online (so i've heard) but definetly worth every penny the coil i have in it has been in there for over a month xD it's consistent has very good taste and coils are pretty good tbh.

Side note : i use mostly 70-75% vg e-juice or max vg when i have to.
In case you didn't know : vg = more clouds less taste
pg= more throat hit (like a cigarette) and carries the flavor more but makes less vapor.
