Title says it all.

This is the first time trying nickel TC setup after just making the switch from kanthal (if it works well). Received my nickel wire a few minutes ago so got cracking with the build.

I've set up the SnowWolf 200W + Velocity rda with nickel Ni200 (tempered 28g/0.32mm by StealthVape, dual coil, 20 wraps) which gave me 0.08ohms.

I'm currently on 440F and 40W (not sure if watts has a play here when in TC mode and when changing fahrenheit with the +/- buttons).

It takes a while to heat up. Is this normal with TC? If not, does anyone else have some better settings I can try?

I run kanthal between 28-35W on an average vape for best hits if this helps work out the best settings for me.

Thanks.

Thanks for letting me know there was a lock resistance! However my SnowWolf doesn't seem to be locking the resistance properly. It did for the first attempt but now it's back to adjusting ohms even after I try locking it again.

Once I've got the lock working, does this mean the coil / cotton will eventually burn out?
The lock should hold the resistance so it doesn't change giving your mod more accuracy when giving you the temperature required

I had the original snow wolf but can't remember exactly how it performs

Mine doesn't seem to be holding the resistance... Checked a few guides. Following same steps:

- Leave coil to sit until cold
- Press minus and fire button together
- Press + to confirm cold coil

When firing, the resistance jumps up and down.

If I confirm it's a cold coil after one hit (so the resistance has increased now slightly), it will lock temporarily before jumping up and down again just like the rest of the numbers.

Am I doing something wrong here or is that how it is meant to work?

EDIT: Ok I figured it out! I believe I was doing my coil build with the mod turned off so when I was attaching the atty back on then turning the mod on, the mod wasn't recognising a new atty (thought something was wrong when it wasn't showing up at first but thought this was normal for it to auto pick up the atty). Seems to be working fine (for now)!

EDIT 2: It's doing it again. I lock in the resistance and it keeps jumping up and down. The degrees are varying at the higher end but the wattage seem to drop below 3W. It's like a tiny pulse of vapour that's produced. I've redone the coil setup to 0.09ohms single coil. If I lock the resistance after taking a quick vape (so the coil resistance is locked in at a slightly higher number now - 0.10ohms) the vapour production is a lot higher (although the resistance still changes up and down). Is this a faulty mod?
