Hello, I have obviously the SMOK TFV8 baby beast, and until the most recent releases that now have a button that you have to push to open and close the lid after you refill them with juice, they just swing open and closed...Is there any possible way to tighten this? I have been vaping on it with a vape band on it to keep it closed because I don't know yet if it will leak in my purse, pocket etc yet. I just can't see yet if I can find a screw to tighten it and I have yet to finish vaping the juice in it in order to take it apart to look inside to see if there is a post to tighten. Anyone ever fix this?? Thank you, Michelle

Welcome to ECF, Michelle!

The best suggestion I have is using a vape band wider then the ones that come with the baby beast tanks. That has worked for me, but I don't carry it in a purse. I have an older TFV4 that the swivel is woefully loose on and a wider vape band does a pretty good job on that.

I think the vape band is likely going to be your best solution, probably. Sometimes those swinging door hinges loosen. If it's fairly new, you may have the option of warrantying the mod, if you choose to go that route. It's not entirely certain that your second tank won't have the same issue... But it may be worth a shot. Otherwise, I might search for a different topper for your "out and about" mod, it's good to have some backup gear in any case, if something breaks.

Best of luck and welcome to ECF!

Welcome and glad you joined.
A shop may have a solution.
Could contact:
local B&M Vape Shop (Visit) -----Might be simple.
A thick rubber band may help for the interim.
I use these bands on my RDA's (suggest you get them 2-4 mm smaller than the diameter of your tank):
$1.91 Silicone Anti-slip Ring for E-Cigarette Atomizers / Mods (10-Pack) 10-pack - white / 22mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Could fill in your location, it may help you in obtaining location specific information to your questions.
On the top right hand corner of this post you will find --"your name" next to "Inbox and Alerts"
Place the mouse pointer on your name. You will get a drop down and on the left hand side of this drop down you will find "Personal Details".
Click Personal Details.
In Personal Details, in middle of screen in gray, you will find "Location" Could fill that box line in.

In addition to the bond I found something out about SMOK’s swivel door that’s kind of interesting, but also risky to do and may cause problems, but it’s an option. Basically if you can bend the door a little towards the top. You will see that it becomes very hard to close as the pin that goes in to the space to close it higher now, but, if you push it down a notch when you want to close it, it will stay there and tighten when you release it. I did it for my first Big Baby Beast and it worked, but when it happened to my second one I just picked a thicker band, sold for a $1 or so in most vape shops, and that solved the problem entirely.

This is the first solution I mentioned

And this is the wide/thick band that was mentioned here

So the top white gasket helps in regards to the tightness in the lid. So when new gasket will help tighten it up some what. That in a vape band which is a couple of millimeters smaller than the tank diameter should help somewhat. I own one as well as a big baby and have similar issues and those two suggestions have assisted me with the problem. I did not read any of the other posts so I am assuming others have recommended this to you. I just don't know of a way to tighten it up that would not compromise the Integrity of the tank in the long run. Good luck. Vape on.

The tank should have come with a replacement seal. If you still have the box it came in there should be one inside. If you clean it it helps also. If it gets juice on it, the seal gets slippery and swings open easier. And yes if it does swing open the vacuum will be released and it will dump the liquid in your purse or pocket.
