Rigel Mini Kit by Smoktech is the small-scale version of the powerful Dual Battery Rigel 230W mod.

Rigel Mini mod is contained in size, houses an external 18650 battery and is capable of producing a maximum power of 80 watts.

Designed with a soft rubber coating and honeycomb texture, the Rigel kit is a very light (62.5gr), ergonomic and very durable device. The kit is available in five different colors.

The simplified chipset perfectly combines performance, ease of use and safety, has a reaction time to the Fire button of only 0.001 seconds, the charging port is Type-C 5V / 2A.

Rigel Mini has been combined with the Smok TFV9 Mini tank with a 22mm diameter, contains up to 3.0ml of e-liquid (2ml TPD), has a convenient sliding filling system with safety lock / release.

Rigel Mini Kit is available in five different colors, some with elegant shades of black downwards.

The 8-sided form factor makes the Rigel Mini extremely ergonomic, almost as much as a tube, the front section is more than halved compared to the 230W Rigel dual battery.

The front is reinforced by a zinc alloy grille that also extends to the side panels, at the top there is a large and comfortable Fire button, slightly protruding.
The color TFT screen below is arranged vertically and measures 0.96 ".
The up / down adjustment buttons are placed on a special rocker, finally at the bottom there is the Usb Type-C socket for charging.

The battery compartment door is located on the back, on it there are two opposing grooves to be able to extract the cover.

The side view of the Rigel Mini highlights a good assembly of the parts, both of the back cover and of the front panel.
The side panels house part of the zinc alloy mask which is fixed to the frame by two screws on both sides. Inside this grille there is an insert of different material (carbon fiber) while on the upright we find on one side the writing "Smok", on the other side the writing "Rigel Mini".
The side panels are almost entirely covered with a honeycomb texture, similar in texture and appearance to those used on the Vaporesso Target and Gen Mods.

The top of the Mod is covered with a special soft and smooth rubberized paint, in the center the 510 cup is raised just enough to avoid damage to the paint when screwing / unscrewing the atomizer, the pin is floating and gold / plated .

On the Rigel Mini we can use atomizers with a maximum diameter of 24mm without protrusions, by installing MTL atomizers with a diameter of 22mm the aesthetic result is very good.

The compartment / batteries is neat and clean, the polarities are clearly marked. A convenient lace is provided to facilitate the extraction of the cell.
The lightweight Cover is equipped with two very strong magnets.

Smok TFV9 Mini 22mm:

The famous TFV8 Baby gets a makeover and turns into the new TFV9 Mini ...
This tank uses straight Pyrex glass and can hold up to 3.0ml of e-liquid.
The Top-cap is childproof thanks to the slide-to-fill system, the system prevents accidental opening and guarantees simple and safe filling. The refueling slot is protected by a safety membrane.

The two air-flow slots are opposed and have been reduced and optimized for RDL, centrally they are equipped with a 2mm wide crosspiece that simplifies the partialization through the rotation of the AFC ring.
According to Smok technicians, the incoming air hits the coil much more from the bottom upwards than the old tank, increasing the aromatic return.

The contact pin on the bottom of the atom is plated / gold, slightly protruding. Always on the bottom we find the laser engraved writings; designed by Smok, 22mm, the disposal logo and the C E mark.

TFV9 Mini Tank supports the new 0.15Ω Mesh-coil V9 made in Nichrome with a range of 40-90W, an "old" 0.6Ω V8 Baby Q2 Coil with a range of 20-50W has also been included in the package, in past was my favorite for low power RDL vaping.
TFV9 Mini is fully compatible with the full range of coils for TFV9-TFV8 Baby / Big Baby.

The new 0.15Ω Mesh-coil V9 seems very valid and flexible in use! I find it very performing and responsive already at 40W. I used this coil during the test mainly at 40W without going further, managing to maximize the duration of the single 18650 cell.
The TFV9 Mini is pleasantly contrasted compared to the classic TFV9, for this reason it is also possible to use the 0.6Ω Baby Q2 Coil at only 20W with satisfaction!

Smok Rigel Mini, how it works:

Rigel Mini's 0.96 "color TFT display shows all the information useful for vaping; level and percentage of residual charge of the cell, set power, Volt, Ohm, total number of puffs and length of the last puff.

- To turn the Mod on / off, click the Fire button five times in less than two seconds.
- Click the fire button three times in quick succession to lock / unlock all the functions of the Mod.
- To lock / unlock the power, press the up / down buttons together.
- The power can be adjusted with the Up / Down buttons, from 1 to 80W with an increase / decrease of 1W at a time
- Press the Down / Fire buttons together to reset the total number of Puffs.

Like almost all Modern Mods, the Rigel Mini also adopts the Type-C charging port and Smok declares fast, precise and balanced charging. However, I always recommend that you recharge your batteries with an external charger.

The Rigel Mini offers a good security compartment which includes:
- Open circuit protection
- Time Out 8s
- Short circuit protection
- Overheating protection
- Low charge protection

The Rigel Mini Chipset is simplified and really intuitive, I find it responsive when pressing the Fire button and it seems to me that it manages battery life quite well.
In conclusion, some functions are missing such as the Bypass and the TC, however I liked this Starter Kit a lot because it embodies the need for a mod easy to use, pleasant to the touch, small and handy, with precise coil reading.

The Tank TFV9 Mini is basically an updated TFV8-baby and works really well in RDL from 20 to 50W, it has a varied and almost infinite range of adaptable coils and this can be really comfortable! So if you are looking for all this, I gladly recommend the Rigel Mini Starter kit.
