► SMOK Mag Solo Kit; First Impressions:
Smok Mag Solo Mod undoubtedly takes inspiration from the Aegis line which for me has one of the most beautiful and ergonomic designs that exist, so I'm not annoyed by this, in fact I really like the idea of having a new Mod with this style. For this kit, Smok introduces the new T-Air tank and new coils, the range of colors available is incredibly wide. For this test @Sourcemore sent me the white "Matte White" color with a mirror metallic T-Air tank. On the bottom of the Mod there is a door to access the battery/compartment.

► SMOK Mag Solo Kit; 18650/21700 Compatible:
The door opening system uses a slider button which is equipped with a rather strong spring, the feeling is that of extreme safety and there are no games and everything appears perfect. The negative polarity symbol of the battery appears on the inside of the door, the positive polarity symbol is red and is located inside the battery tube. If you plan to use a 21700 battery you will need to remove the 18650 adapter found inside the Mod.

► SMOK Mag Solo Mod; Side view:
The mirror chrome plate is screwed to the mod by two screws on each side, this "Aegis Style" cover is very beautiful but is a real magnet for fingerprints. The design of the Mod with an arched profile of the handle gives a solid grip in the hand thanks also to the prominent lower and upper protrusions.

► SMOK Mag Solo Mod; Rear and Front View:
As I said before, the handle with the classic "belly" uses a very ergonomic profile, the insert is soft and pleasant to the touch. On the leather insert there are two parallel stitchings with the name "MAG SOLO" hot-stamped in the centre. On the front side of the device there is the fire button, protruding and oversized, the button also seems really precise and free of play, the same thing for the adjustment buttons. The Oled Display is very bright, it shows all the useful information such as; battery bar, battery percentage, applied power, voltage, puffs counter, vape time.

► SMOK Mag Solo Mod; Thread 510:
At the top of the mod, the steel cup is screwed with 3 French screws, and can accommodate tanks up to 32mm to the delight of vapers who create giant clouds. The 510 pin is spring loaded and the thread is smooth.

    ► SMOK T-Air Sub-Ohm Tank:
The T-Air tank has a top air control with a rotating ring, the ring has a total of 32 holes (16 per side), this is a system with a very high air flow rate at maximum opening. The 810 drip tip is replaceable and the top cap unscrews quickly with 1/8 of a turn. You need to make sure you close the cap well after filling because in my example the cap has very little hold, however I had no problems when I put the device in my pocket or when I placed it on the car seat. The coil is inserted from the bottom with light pressure, before screwing the base it is necessary to align the tabs of the coil with the recesses on the bottom of the tank. Disassembling the T-Air tank for cleaning is simple and quick.

    ► SMOK TA Coils:
T-Air Sub-Ohm Tank uses new type TA resistors, the pre-installed 0.2Ω one has a double Mesh with 50/70W range and best at 65W. The 0.4Ω coil is supplied as a spare in the box, this resistor uses a single Mesh with a range of 20-45W with best 40W. Sourcemore very kindly sent me a box of 5 0.4Ω TA Coils for my testing.

► SMOK Mag Solo Kit; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
For this test I used Tob Hypnos with 50/50 base and 3mg/ml boost.

    • TA coil 0.4Ω 20-45W :
Starting with 25W of power, the Coil proves fast in activation with a clear and uncontaminated flavor right away. The vapor is nice and fresh and manages to produce decent clouds. Switching to 45W greatly increases the flavor concentration without making the vapor hot, I would say that 40W of power with this coil is ideal for me. I like to adjust the AFC ring to 25% opening but I must say that even at the maximum AFC opening the Puff remains consistent and without excessive dispersion. Furthermore, this 40W coil allows a good life of the 21700 battery.

    • TA coil 0.2Ω 50-70W :
Given the great power that can be achieved from this double mesh coil, the AFC system can be used 100%. Starting from 50W, the reactivity to the Fire is immediate, from 60 to 70W with AFC wide open you undoubtedly obtain a great yield and a lot of vapor emission, the power supply is always constant and the coil does not show signs of suffering from higher powers. The Puff is always very silent, the flavor is clear and uncontaminated right from the start. By slightly partializing the AFC, the aromatic yield increases in step with the heat.

Smok Mag Solo PRO is a really attractive kit, with ergonomic shapes that make it pleasant to hold in the hand, with the 21700 battery installed, the autonomy at 40W is really high. The only vaping mode is power mode, so the menu system is simple to navigate. Mag Solo has six different color themes, the screen is bright, and the adjustment buttons are comfortable without playing. The TA-Coils both produce great flavor and the tank with top air regulation ensures leak-proof. The only drawback was that the top cap was too easy to unscrew while adjusting the air. For the rest I felt good and can be satisfied with this kit.

    • From @Sourcemore you can purchase the SMOK Mag Solo kit with the T-Air subtank at a special price.

    • Thanks for reading.
