Hi my name is mike I came here to get an answer on why my smok coils wont register as new on my mag and all other coils including rda work fine. When I screw in a new smok coil it goes to the last resistance that was on the mod. I have to screw on and unscrew a hundred times before it works and with many different types of smok coils. any idea's?

When I screw in a new smok coil it goes to the last resistance that was on the mod. I have to screw on and unscrew a hundred times before it works playing with it and with many different types of smok coils. any idea's? It does this with both big baby and prince but my amigo and rda always work fine. Makes no sense to me.

My understanding is that smok is known for quality control issues. Their designs aren’t necessarily that bad but they are designed to be cheap not durable. Manufacturing errors tend to crop up a lot as well. Sometimes a smok device will work for years with no issues. Sometimes they crap out after only a few months. It’s a die roll whether you get one that will break or not.

Well, I just bought the thing.
Welcome and glad you joined.
Could contact:
local B&M Vape Shop (Visit) -----Might be simple, they might be able to see something we cant.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
Might want to, in the future, Google " Smok (fill in any manufacturer's name) products problems and issues". Don't fell too bad, you have lot's of company.

If you just bought it, get it replaced if you are still under warranty. Seriously if it's behaving like that now, just get a replacement. It's going to die on you at some point, and while I understand not wanting another smok mod, hold them to their warranty. It's the only way that Qc will improve, lots of folks just deal with a problem too long, or think "it wasn't that much" and etc. I am of the opinion that when a warranty is indicated, it should be completed!
