Smok Alien battery showing A 100% B 0%

I have a Nitecore I2 charger and only use that to charge my 2 18650 batteries to use with my smok Alien mod on VB 1.0.3 fw.

For the last 3 days now (nothing happened 4 days earlier) my Alien will show my A battery at 100% and my B at 0% and will not fire showing low battery. The Nitecore charger shows both at 100% no matter which way I orient each battery, B always shows 0% I have just placed my same batteries in an older mod and both are showing 100%

Does anyone know of anyway to fix this in my smok? Already cleaned the battery tunnels in the mod, and did a clean flash of the FW.

You could try taking it apart and see if any of the connections on the B battery came loose. Most likely not if nothing happened to the mod however. Probably a component failure. Might be worth a look see.

It does sound like faulty electronics, and if you are not up for taking a look inside I might warranty the mod if it still is warrantyable. Best of luck.

Not very experienced with taking mods apart but am no stranger to taking other electronics apart. And since it is out of warranty I might as well give it a shot as a side project.

No haven't tried different batteries but I figured if they work perfect in my old mod and the same batteries have been working in my Alien then it shouldn't be them.

And yes I even cleaned out the ports before I posted this. They look good.

Before disassembling the mod try wiping off the contacts as I have seen the slightest of e-Liquid residue make a battery not connect. Just a thought and good luck!

Sounds like the meter for the B battery (or the connection to that part of the board) is open.
My hands are too shaky for fine work these days, but (if it's a wiring problem, and not a board issue) it should be an easy fix.
