Design
The device has a very unique design which I’ve honestly never seen before. It feels really comfortable to hold and has some weight to it. The device is pretty small as it completely fits in the palm of my hand (and I have small hands). Definitely seems to be a vape for stealth vaping as well. I really like the color that I got it in, it’s a very bright orange. It’s a color I couldn’t find on the website yet, so maybe this says something about new colors coming for this little device?
The layout of the device is pretty simple. On the front is some small branding from Smoant, but they kept that really lowkey. On the side where the pod is, you can find your air inlet and battery indicator light. At the bottom there are some screws and you can find your USB-C connector. Top right is where the space to attach your lanyard to it can be found.
Pods & Coils
The kit includes a versatile 0.8ohm preinstalled coil, and the option to choose from 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0ohm coils. What I really like about it is the ability to change coils without swapping out the entire pod. This adds a level of cost-effectiveness to the device. It’s also more environmentally conscious than having to throw out a piece of plastic everytime the coil is burnt. These coils also deliver excellent flavor and give you the option to vape either RDL or MTL. There is airflow control on this vape, but it’s not like how we usually see it from other vapes. The airflow control has a small slider at the bottom of the pod. I prefer it all the way open, but you can close it down a little bit. It doesn’t seem like you can close it all the way, because that way you actually close off all air that goes through your pod and you can’t take a puff anymore.
Performance
The Knight Q doesn't disappoint in the performance department. The absence of leaking definitely is a major plus, ensuring a mess-free experience. With a 3ml liquid capacity, it beats most of these small pod devices. The 1000mAh battery, packed into this compact vape, promises a reliable and long-lasting vaping experience. It really baffled me, and it honestly still does, how they got a 1.000mAh battery into a device this small. Charging is fast, taking only 45-50 minutes to get you back to full power.
In the flavor department this vape also really shines, it being better than most pods of the same kind. Technology in that department also seems to get better and better and this pod definitely confirmed that for me. I really see this being a go to pod for a lot of people who like pods that are popular right now. I honestly think this would be a step up from most of the small pods on the market right now.
Pros
- Very unique and comfortable shape
- No leaking
- Change coils instead of entire pod
- 3ml liquid capacity
- Large battery in a small vape
- Place for a lanyard
- Airflow control on the pod
Cons
- Tinted pod (hard to see the juice level)
Verdict
The Smoant Knight Q Pod Kit earns a positive verdict with a distinctive design, efficient performance, and user-friendly features. It's a standout in the pod system arena, offering a comfortable grip, convenient coil changes, and a respectable battery capacity in a compact form. The only con on the experience is the tinted pod, but if that doesn't bother you, this kit is a solid choice. I would go as far as to say that this little pod is almost perfect.
