I've done a little research but didn't quite find the answer I was looking for. I've been smoke free for 11 days. I awoke one morning with quite the hangover and just decided to not smoke anymore. It was rather odd how easy it was. I'm using an ego twist, with the kanger evod. The juice I'm using, switching back and forth from halo Tribeca and bobas bounty. vaping about 1-2ml of 18 mg juice a day. I've noticed since I quit smoking my sleep has been less "restful" I am an insomniac as is and have a rather odd sleep schedule. Here lies my question. Does vaping affect sleep? That cigarette before bed used to "help" me get rested. I get the same satisfaction from vaping, but I have an app on my phone that measures your sleep cycle (horribly innacurate I'm sure) but it says my REM sleep cycle has greatly decreased since I quit smoking. What's going on? I've been tired as hell for almost two weeks now.

Unless your phone is wired to your brain (think: sleep lab) and the app is reading your brain waves, I wouldn't give too much credence to what it's saying about your REM sleep!

Keep in mind that your body is still detoxing and adjusting from the lack of the hundreds of chemicals you were smoking. Changes in sleep habits and feeling tired or depressed are well-known symptoms of smoking cessation.

I'd suggest you give it time and don't stress or worry about it. Good luck!

My sleep pattern hasn't really changed since I switched. If anything I would say I'm sleeping better since I don't decide to get up early anymore because I'm tossing and turning. I also used to get really bad muscle cramps in my arms and legs whenever I laid down to go to sleep, but since I've lowered my nic level from 18mg to 6 they've gone away.

I went through the exact same thing OP, (minus the use of the app) ... I think there's more at play than merely nicotine, your body is craving or responding to the shortage of the other chemicals found in cigarettes.

Haha, I also quit the same way as you, woke up with a huge hangover and the last thing I felt like doing was smoking. Had heard of e-cigs, went out and bought an Evod and boom ... 2 months later :)

Yeah I have a similar issue. I think it is mainly the fact that I chain vape in the evening though. Kind of like I did cigarettes, but more easy to do when you can do it inside. The reason I make that assumption about myself, is because when I would not smoke a cigarette a few hours before bed, I would sleep like a champ and feel better when I woke up. And although I feel better waking, I am not having the same relaxed experience because I am still using the nicotine heavily.
