Ok guys, my brother has dipped SKOAL (original) fine cut wintergreen for nearly 20 years and is hoping to quit by vaping. The only problem is he can not find anything that tastes remotely close to SKOAL. I found a vender that carries wintergreen, but I'm not sure what tobacco flavors (or anything else) to mix it with to get him the flavor he's looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions or recipes for making a SKOAL flavored vape???

I made some eliquid for my brother using Hangsen Indian flavoring and tpa wintergreen. However, he never converted over because he likes his dip. I tried it and it was similar to a sample I had of grizzly wintergreen. I don't dip/chew but I did taste the wintergreen just to make sure.
I would start at 5% Hangsen Indian flavoring
1-2% wintergreen-flavor apprentice
Koolada can be added if needed. I would use 0.5%.
Hopefully, some dippers have some recipes for you.

Ok thanks. ;-) I used to dip the same thing he dips, so if I can get the recipe right I'll be able to taste test and know if it's what he's looking for. By the way SKOAL isn't nearly as sweet as grizzly.
You should try teaberry (TFA). It has a VERY strong wintergreen flavor that will stand up to whatever tobacco you happen to use it with. You might start out by trying 2% tobacco absolute with 4% teaberry. This is just a guess though, as I have never tried to replicate a chew flavor.
Most chew is made with molasses, honey for sweetness and various additives to alter the bite. Black Honey Tobacco from TFA or Captain Black by Seedman are probably the closest.

4% Honey (LA) - Just a hint
2% Wintergreen (TFA) - Very strong flavor
1-2% Sea Buckthorn (TFA) - Adds a sour note

I had already placed my order before I read your post, so I'll be able to make another order this weekend and pick up some sea buckthorn from wizard labs. In fact ive already got it in my shopping cart, to be ordered this Friday. ;-) ...is it just a bitter taste or is it sweet as well?
