How do you use it? I currently use ceramic wicks. I was thinking either a U shape wick or simply a straight vertical piece. I've seen some people fold it and coil it above the wick hole. Just curious.

Sorry for the late reply, I ran mine straight out the top hole on my ZAP, no folding. Stuck a blunt tip in it and wrapped a 4-5 coil. The Silica did good for about a week, but today I noticed it was getting dark and torching it didn't help make it white again. The flavor was starting to mute a little too, so I swapped it out with a 7x19 SS rope and it's performing like a champ. I think next time I place an order, i'll try the XC-18 ceramic wick (which is what I thought I was getting). Anyway, hope your ceramic is doing good, I had to many hotspots on my FC2000Z ceramic wicks.

If you had too many hotspots on your FC2000Z, It was most likely caused by the grooves or the wire was not making full contact with the wick. Thanks for you help
