Let me start off by saying that I like quality. And I want the ability to swap different size batteries when need be.

I have an SVD and an Evic right now. The SVD is having center pin problems, so that's why I got the Evic.
I like having the ability to do vv and vw.

The Evic is good, but there's a few things that make me want a better quality device.

I have looked at the Provari, which I know is a fantastic vaping device. (Lot's of info here to tell me that)

I wouldn't mind topping the unit off with a kayfun lite as well.

That being said, is there any other unit out there that you think might be better for what I am looking for?

As of now, I have owned mine a couple months, and by far it is one of the nicest mods I have owned, the only issue so far to me is longevity - how long will it last.

with that said the build quality and threading is comparable to any high end mechanical and the fully modular design is a very nice approach to an APV.

I said it before: Nothing like a little russian industrial design with some german engineering thrown in for good measure.

with the possible exception in the future of buying a futura this will probably be the only VV/VW device i will own. the PWM is very high. I havent done testing but just from listening to the sizzle it is very comparable to the provari for quality of voltage output. several reviews on german forums rate it as as close to a provari regulation wise as you can get right now.

about the only thing that bugs me is the battery meter doesnt closely match the true voltage left, when looking at it sometimes you fool yourself into believing it may be close to empty when in reality it has plenty of time and life left. (doesnt impact usage though)

Thanks for your input Thrasher.

Exactly my thoughts.

I will keep it in mind regarding the battery life display, but that's a small thing as long as you have more life left vs. what is displayed. If it were the other way around, there would be a problem.

I could wait for a DNA20 tube but honestly, I would like a tried and true APV before I would want a new 20w which I probably won't need.

Like I said, I want quality. My svd has a pin issue and I really hate the way the bottom cap screws onto my Evic. It just screams lack of quality! I have no need for a mech, but there are so many that are made so beautifully. It's that quality construction of a good mech that I want in a vv/vw. I think I may have found it.

I've heard conflicting opinions of the reliability of the Nivel chip in the Semovar. The V2.5 ProVari I have will go as high as 15 watts, and is proven to be durable, reliable, and accurate. Throw in the warranty, and ability to send it in to a company here in the States if an issue does ever crop up to be repaired even when out of warranty, and it seems to be exactly what you're looking for. :)

You can purchase a clearance ProVari V2.0 (not a blemished one) for $149.95 which has the 1 year warranty.

I bit the bullet and ordered one today from Vaperev since they have them in stock. It seems that ( from what i have read ) if these things are going to have issues that its going to happen within the first week of owning it. With a 7 day return policy, That seems like enough time for me anyways to find out if its going to be faulty or not.

I simply purchased one without knowing anything about it, If its not to my liking i will return it or i will just sell it off and lose 10-20 bucks on it. I wanted another VV/VW device and i already have 2 Provari's and as of now, There are no DNA20s that catch my eye ( i owned 2 DNA20 box mods and box mods are just not for me )

I will let others know how it works out when it arrives. I will put it to the test and if it performs without any issues and i like the quality/looks ( which i already know i do ) then i will be a happy camper!

I've haven't decide yet whether I want to place the order for Semovar..love the looks and everything. don't get me wrong also love to get Provari, the problem ordering provari from provape site, is the shipping cost to Canada..way too high almost $50 bucks, I don't get it..because usually when I order from US my average shipping rates are only between $10 - $15..first class USPS..

rounding third and heading home...

protovapor xpv dna20/30 looks like it was made for a kayfun/russian topper. you don't have to worry about oversea communication and service problems(protovapor is in the USA). the nivel chipped svoemesto is nice when they have no problems (read around, ther have been some in the past). but do you really want to have a russian device with no american service when something goes wrong.? the postage and lead times alone would put me off especially when there are a lot of nice local mods for the same money...
i have a silver protovapor xpv and a kayfun and it is perfect............
