Hey all,

Yes, I did a search and no I couldn't find a definitive answer to the question if ICR18650-26F batteries should be used in ANY APV.

Mechanical and high wattage and these batteries do not mix, I get that but I am asking if these batteries would be safe in a regulated device at say 12w and 1.2-1.9ohms.

I have 4 of these batteries and they are brand new. They weren't that expensive, but before I toss them, I figured I would ask the experts if they are worth using in ANY mod.

Thanks!

I wouldn't use them for vaping purposes.
ICR is a more volitile chemistry than the IMR or hybrid 'safer' chemistry we use now.

ICR vent with hot gases fire & flame, they expand extremely rapidly in most cases too rapidly to remove them from the enclosure.

As inexpensive as safer batteries are, to me it isn't worth the risk.
They would be great batteries for a flashlight or other very low drain application.

I think they are hybrid batteries, though heavily weighed towards icr. 5.2 amps. I could be wrong though. I have a couple of those, bought about three years ago, but I only use them in my power bank. How old are they. There are definitely better batteries, and considering the cost you're better off getting new batteries. For example the LG hg2.

I would Not Recommend that any "ICR" Battery be used in Any Type of e-Cigarette Mod. As Topwater mentioned, ICR Chemistry is a Much More Volatile Chemistry that IMR.

But No Need to toss it. Get yourself an 18650 LED Flashlight and use that Battery in it.

Brand new. As in I don't even have them yet. I ordered 4 of them by accident from Fasttech. A $15 mistake at worst.
